I would, as a Christian, call Islam a false religion. But when it’s a movement within an religion that changes all the essential teachings of said religion, surrounded around one main person who claims a special relationship with a god, gods, spirits, etc, and had come to help us get back to the “original” teachings that is not historical to said religion, then I would consider that a cult. More credit if it matches the BITE Model. But that’s me though. God bless.

@deancliddell96 l think because of the way they indoctrinate young boys in the mosque into (sometimes) radicals to go and do anything for Islam. Also the treatment of women.... they are so sexualised and hidden and sometimes beaten by husbands . I've listened to many podcasts as l like to know about this religion as l have a friend of many years who is a muslim.

Cultish (by Apologia Studios) is a good podcast if you want a more detailed response from a Christian perspective, they recently done a few episodes on Islam.

@@dcliddell96 And other religions also fix feelings of loneliness and depression in the same way. Christianity isn't any different. If you get someone to believe that everything is fine, they will feel fine. Placebo.

@@dcliddell96 I’ve had to pull myself out of depression multiple times. When I got to a really bad place last year, I got desperate and tried to reach out to god. Didn’t work and things only got worse. The only thing that still keeps me here is the thought of what losing me would do to my family and friends
