Three years ago today I lost my beautiful mother, Marcia Shrum. She was an amazing person who made sure that everyone around her felt alright. I will never forget the many things she taught me throughout the 26 years I got to spend with her. Setting aside his fantastic improvisation, and mastery of the instrument, no jazz trumpet player I have ever heard can just play a melody or tune like James Morrison. Such a gift!
whoops ......! That was meant to be a comment to James Morrison's solo on Basin St Blues which I had just played before this. FeddieH was my absolute hero when about 20 (53 years ago) and I had just taken up the classical/orchestral trumpet. I remember I first heard him playing some 3/4 thing ...... cracked the trumpet like a whip. So exciting.

After looking at it. It seems like it might be like a Mr. PC blues, where they do bVI7 on the 9th bar to V7 in the 10th. Great question!
