This is fantastic! Great work!
Camera is too far from the canvas- and on the side- You watch Josh- well that’s his problem as well- he insists on having the sharp angle camera from canvas and far away because he’s filming live on all his other social media outlets- he doesn’t care about the UA-cam viewers view- and he actually said it on his live when a few addressed it on same livestream- he got angry and many were blocked from the live chat! At least your wave looks kind of normal here- Josh does weird waves and doesn’t understand the anatomy nor flow of waves- ocean water- He’s too cocky and all about selling - money- and has many of his viewers sucked into his gaslighting- Here your talking about things that have nothing to do with the painting tutorial- Nice sky- clouds- the wave is ok/ but forgot the barrel - the rest of waves after the eye part- and great you didn’t add rocks- too many UA-cam painters add big boulders and or rocks to cover up the water areas they don’t understand how to depict the illusion of- instead of studying the anatomy of waves and ocean water- foam etc When painters are self taught- many are now just winging it on UA-cam- and not studying- about the process of painting in of itself- Composition is very important and all UA-cam painters lack this- Basic color theory- If anyone is really interested and wants to become a good painter of the land/ sea/ cloudscapes- Carlson on landscape book Edgar Paynes on composition Helen Van Wyk on color And - perspective- (where is the viewer standing - while looking at the scene) and more- These books are best and will serve throughout one’s journey and always refer back to them- Once the painter knows these foundations- their works will be better- being a painter is a life long journey of learning- Don’t let time pass - painters on UA-cam many are copycats many just wing it and the thousands who watch are beginners and don’t know any better- but in time many will- Best wishes to you-
Why the split screen? Very confusing-
great painting!
Great job 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Excellent tutorial Dan thank you so much 🇬🇧
Whoa, what an absolutely mesmerizing mountain scene painting - and a super fantastic tutorial. I truly enjoyed watching the entire video. Thank you so much for sharing - I learn so much simply by watching. Thanks again and will catch you on the next video. Cheers, 🙂🥂 🎨🖼 🥇🏆🥇 _(PS - 47:02: I've always dreamed of learning how to paint myself and would watch every episode of Bob Ross - and finally after 50+ years, I'm starting, lol) 🤪
Beautiful seascape painting - Turned out really nice. Enjoyed watching the video - Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Dan its just lovely and i am definitely giving this one a try 🇬🇧
👎😖
I missed the first 4 parts but does this 'purple place' suppose to have two shadow directions?
DAN glad I've found you ,and thank you for this lovely tutorial as a beginner I appreciate your calm approach to painting and your pace is brilliant 👏 also for your story ,we'll done ,I will definitely give this painting a try and look forward to painting along with you 🇬🇧
This was great!
We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents!. I heard that somewhere before!😊
Your story of alcoholism resonates with me and your journey. I would imagine you have helped more people than you might know, Including me. Grow and paint on!
So glad I met you and your family! Loved working with you in the mortgage business. You were great and that and are great at this. You are awesome!
So sorry to hear about your fur baby
Perfect blend of painting and bamter. Very clearly explained too
I love these videos. Please keep them coming
Love it
You are very talented! I love your instructions and the painting on black canvas . Thank you
Thank you for the positive message! I'm glad you enjoyed the video
I tried to watch Bob you tube...and fall asleep. I find Alexander easier to watch, but his stuff isn't really on you tube (the channel I found is mostly students teaching his meathod). I am on a sunset kick right now. Just love the colors in the skies. I was seeing a path curve around a pond to the front of the picture, then you stuck a tree covered hill in the pond...
That's absolutely beautiful.
I like listening to your jibber jabber
I like the dual camera. ❤
I enjoyed the dual camera format -- I could see more clearly when you were working at the far edge of the painting. On Christmas Eve, we visited the New Skete Monastery in N.Y. and participated in the Matins service. A week before we visited my mother-in-law's church, St. Michael's R.C. Church in N.J., for a Christmas concert with the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea, which was inspiring. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
I think I could listen to you talk and paint all day. Thank you.
Thank you Bob! I'll keep doing videos and hope you enjoy them
Marry Christmas
liked your personal story. I still drink to much. But I love to paint
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
Thank you. We had a great Christmas. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a happy new year
Wow, amazing job !
I enjoy the longer videos. They are so relaxing and full of joy.
I think I love these short videos you do. I try watching Bob and fall asleep
Progress not perfection is a great slogan. At least you can see progress, i feel I've backslid in the last 20 years without picking up my paints. My youngest turned into a phalo blue smurf when she was 3 and put handprints all over the apartment walls...I panicked and packed it all away
I don't know your set up but you might try putting the camera on your left so your right hand isn't between the camera and the canvas
You're the first I've seen wipe off liquid white with a towel.
The tube wringer can tear the tube? My tubes cracked when trying to open the dried on cap and twisted into knots
"You can never be so far gone that you can't come back" Well said sir. 11 years since my last beverage. Life is so much better.
You are great
Thank you for your kind words
I'm delighted to see another upload from you. These videos are educational, inspirational, and, above all else, relaxing to a fault. Please don't stop making 'em.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. I'll keep making them. Let me know if there's a landscape scene you'd like to see and I'll do my best to do it
Im a fellow painter im glad i foud you on here youre awesome

Hi Dan I love your work! Can‘t wait to try it on my on! Greetings from munich!
Thank you for the kind words. I hope you enjoy painting this. Let me know how you do
I’m learning thanks for doing this tutorial. Wish I could come to a class. I’m in Chicago
Thank you, I hope the tutorials are helpful. Just keep enjoying painting and keep doing it, progress is inevitable if you keep painting. I'm sure there are classes near you, check the listing by state on Bob Ross.com.
Very nice gesso painting! I am following along. A Tip: if you get dried acrylic on your brush, a high alcohol hand sanitizer or liquid helps break it down and saves the brush. Awesome video, excited for more!
Awesome, thanks for the tip and your support!
Excellent job! Bill Alexander and Bob Ross would be proud of you. Keep up the great work!
Awesome perspective narrative thanks
Thank you
Your videos are calming as they are enlightening, thank you.
Glad to hear, thank you!
good video
Thanks!
Very nice painting.
Thank you!
