Archer and Phlox Vs The Bat
Переглядів 32 тис.10 років тому
Star Trek Enterprise: Captain Archer and Dr. Phlox bravely battle a bat. Hoshi enters Sickbay and just catches it! Clip from A Night in Sickbay
This reminded me of the Breaking Bad fly in lab episode.
Archer is making that mess on purpose. That or he can't see cgi
I enjoyed that series. I wish it lasted longer like supplier holes of the communicator and the weapons. I was OK on that.
Fighting with short arsed Bat’leths.
Not only was Hoshi grabbing the bat out of the air amazing, she was also hey are you alright what are they trying to do to you (LOL). Do you get the feeling the Doctor and Captain made this a LOT harder than it needed to be????
Shran was so pissed about the outcome of this fight that he betrayed the Andorians and joined the Shapechangers in Deep Space Nine. Even cut off the other antenna and dyed his skin to more closely match the "pink skin" he detested so much to remind him of his shame. Idk what he was doing with his ears though.
Pink skins cheat.
Anyone remember what episode this scene is from because I can't remember the episode or season for that matter.
It's from A Night in Sickbay. Season 2 Episode 5 I believe.
Like to see them catch some chipmunks
Salut à tous, le capitaine Jonathan Archer et le lieutenant Malcolm Reed de l'Enterprise NX-01 lancent l'assaut contre Mohammed Merah à Toulouse. Merci cordialement, Johan.
They’re great! 😂😂❤️❤️
Archer lookin like a midnight snack 💕
Hah gaayy
I wonder if John Billingsley has thought of playing Grandpa Munster of The Munsters.
martian ,fire sose ,planet space
Funniest bit. A captain and his trusty "Bones", VERSUS A DASTARDLY BAAAAT!!
SHIKAKA!!
The soundtrack to this episode was way over the top, LOL.
Illya Kuryakin said something similar that to Nancy Sinatra in a "Man From U.N.C.L.E." episode. There's another 4 season show that deserved better. It-and my dad-led to my love of "Star Trek".
What they didn’t call in the MACO’s and some flash bangs????? That would have been faster!
Cause this is an early episode. Pre-macos. They don't show up until s3e1.
@@henryschmale6824 And who want anyone else to detract from Hoshi's sweetness towards animals (Sluggo, Tribble, Bat and probably Porthos)
Captain Archer tries to stop the Wuhan China Virus from spreading.
"You must understand, I'm TRAINED to observe these things. I'm not just a creepy voyeur. Really."
Star trek enterprise night in the sickbay porthos dog
Huh, I didn't know Phlox was so good at origami
Lol he sleeps way less then a human but works on a ship full of them he’s got to find something to do to keep from going nuts

Who is watching this during COVID :p
How many bloopers did this scene produce?
It’s CGI I’m guessing this one scene took a full day or more to shoot
Is the bat dangerous? Or is it a loose pet
It's one of Phlox's many, many medical specimens.
@@WobblesandBean you mean sources of medical supplies
He reminds me of Grandpa in "The Munsters"! He had a bat too.
Having Hoshi just snag the bat was a perfect end to that bit. The whole episode was just frickin' hilarious.
Well, she is asian after all
You aren’t kidding. And it was a female bat at that! Who says a woman’s place is in the kitchen?
Phlox just tastes mystery gel to see if it's poisonous. Someone should remind him he's not a Vorta!
He'd know if he had anything dangerous there. At least, I hope he would.
Eh, could be a cousin species.
He’s an alien and genetically engineered chances are there are vary few things that can posion him
Could be that his people are immune to some poisons.
Reminds me on the "there is a scorpion in our tent" scene.
And Hoshi just casually catches it with her hand. Fitting for Enterprise that the most competent person on the ship is the one who's terrified of being in space...
Was it space I thought it was inclosed spaces
@@seanbraley2772 I mean, she's terrified of almost everything. She's Hoshi.
@@Xelpherpolis again i feel the need to disagree this version of starfleet is the most military we have seen so far with the expiation of the alternate time line on we see in TNG if she really did have that many phobias it wouldent matter how good she was she wouldent have been aproved to enter
@@seanbraley2772 If Archer can be a captain then all bets are off in terms of Starfleet being a competent military organization.
@@Xelpherpolis why say that? they use miltary rank and there isnt a hole fleet of ships out there using reason and logic it means that every memeber of star fleet has to have some kinda military traing or background just like N.A.S.A
Worst episode of Star Trek ever.
Maybe it was. Before Discovery came out.
But probably the funniest.
Still not as bad as Code of Honor from s1 Tng
@@neptune04 Or Threshold from Voyager.
@@oddish4352 point taken
That was very funny!!!!!!
running with the nets , then hoshi comes in and catches it midair. haha
Bat: 2 Archer & Phlox: 0
Bat saw net and thought "hell no!". Saw hand and thought "oh, yes!"
Fucking hell, this was one retarded spin off. Glad it got canceled earlier than the rest.
You think this is weird? You must not know Star Trek...or SciFi.
that bat took no shit from them
But fail for the beauty of Hoshi lol
i see no advancement in a roll of paper towels............
Oh look! Shran's turning blue!
Please... No... Now because of this comment I'm already feeling blue, even though that happens only once in a blue moon...
If he had turned pink……😂😂😂😂
Anybody else besides me kinda pissed that at 0:37 neither one of them dropped their blades and rolled around on the floor screaming in pain for 5 minutes?
Adrenaline they probably didn’t feel it till after notice Archers still putting his full weight on his staved leg
@@seanbraley2772 yeah I broke my wrist in three places a child and didn't even notice until a teacher pointed out that my arm was swollen to twice its size
what the hell bacula this was actually good acting if there was more of this the show might have been a hit.
Bakula was all right as the captain. Not Picard level but all right. They really should have had more focus and this could have turned out a competent series.
Not really it had the odds stacked against them from the get go it’s to differnt from the other shows so fans were up in arms from the frist ep lol I think one of there bigest problem was archer in jeans and a leather jacket instead of the tonic styal cloths “humans” were less the. 200 years “later”
They had to be laughing a lot during filming.
Doubt it CGI is really hard on actors we see the final result wall they are filing they are lucky if they get a story board or basic outline of how the CGI animal/person will move or act that’s what they have to work off there’s really ad-libbing or working off a scene partner it taxing
Is the clip of Dr.Phlox shaving his tongue anywhere online?
Iv met Connor Trinner, Domanic Keeting, Walter Koing, Gourge Taki, Gates McFaden, JEFFREY COMBS, and William Shatner
Dominic Keeting was awesome when I met him.
I'm about to go Full Trekkie and explain this scene for those of you who don't know Andorians. First, as strong as the average Andorian is in comparison to the average Pinkskin, we're also talking about an Andorian outside of a Fesoan climate. Second, what about Shran's conscience? He respects Archer, and Shran has shown in a number of scenarios that he has strong reservations towards unnecessary violence. Shran was relictantly fighting to kill, but Archer was secretly planning to fight to incapacitation from the beginning. Unlike humans, Andorians are biologically incapable of getting "red mist" in combat or other stressful situations, they typically stay calm in combat. Even then, you're still probably wondering "Why not just kill Archer?" Shran is a leader and an honorable man, the ushaan is also known as an "honor duel". To an Andorian, is there really any "honor" to be had killing Archer, someone who just saved the survivors of the Kumari? And what about the repercussions? What about the Andorians on the Enterprise? Either way it leads to a riot on the ship between the Imperial Guard and Starfleet, not to mention war breaking out between Earth and Andoria, who were just beginning to form an alliance. If Shran killed Archer, the Andorians would be unwelcome aboard the Enterprise. If Archer killed Shran, Shran fears he wouldn't be there to lead his troops.
Pretty good brake down but I have the need to point out this is fight with real weapons it’s not a sparingly match with practice blades in this fight it dosent matter what you want to do or what your plan is you fight to survive. Let me put this forth Archer’s move with the chocking wire he has no wall behind him and his legs hert if it had give out he could have fallen backward outing his full let’s say 200 pounds of weight behind the wire that would have killed the opponent. Archer is the better fighter and he got lucky as hell sense he was holding back
Seeing the title, I just wanted batman to appear on the enterprise
Now THAT would have been fun!
Dumbest scene ever. Shran grew up with this weapon and Archer just picked it up for the first time. That Archer could beat Shran is bullshit.
BloodofPatriots Archer beating ANYONE in a fight is bullshit.
BloodofPatriots They made a point to note that Archer was better suited to the environment of the Enterprise than Shran's, and that Shran's stamina would be low. Also, Shran was on tilt.
BloodofPatriots Well, I mean, he didn't really beat him with the weapon...
+BloodofPatriots It's not a terribly complicated weapon...
Saiyanprince1114 Neither is a kukri, but I bet you couldn't pick up one and beat a Gurkha in a knife fight.
