- on the story part with all the term and jargon, i think part of the blame also fall onto the translation somewhat coz many of term is actually very self explain in chinese and chinese culture but it couldn't be translated well into other language without having paragraph of explanation and mhy have exp with this problem so that why there tend to be explanation dialogue to explain stuff or addition note on top. - This problem happen the most with name of char and term, translator have to localize it without it sounding cringe and dumb. For example, Acheron name in chinese version is "Huangquan" - Yellow River(a river of chinese underworld/hell) but it would be dumb to just carry the direct translation over so they pick Acheron which is a river that lead to hell in greek mythology . And this happen many time not just with char name but with term and other thing as well so you can imagine how that could build up over time. - i'm not saying this so you could let it pass coz translation is hard as i do believe the translation team could do better but i hope it do give you some insight into why translation also play a part and don't blame everything on writing team. - As an artist, i will disagree with you on the art style and char not being distinct enough while i don't entirely disagree with it being somewhat generic but i think it only generic within the hoyo game space, it distinct enough outside of hoyo space. My proof for that argument is how successful mhy game and char haven been, mhy main selling in most of their game is always the char as that where the gacha is, considering the success and popularity of mhy char in general should speak volume on whether it really not unique and just generic. - Another proof i can add which is a bit more personal but in commission space there have been many customer that demand for "hoyo art style" for their commission and artist that cater to those need, if it was generic then people would just order generic anime style but by the fact that "hoyo art style" is a thing, it mean it was unique enough

You gotta give Seraph some credit because a music theory teacher listened to it and said the rift of the guitar sounds like "I Shot the sheriff" but changes the last part of the melody to it. Battle Tsukuyomi he does a major callback to SMT 4 battle theme A1 with that melody the Organ does with the rift of that guitar. Eon is great for how much ambiance it is because you literally are Fighting in space hence Lucifers quote "I shall await you in the realm beyond heaven and earth", its both an eerie tone to how it would feel like in space but also Lucifers new form he did by killing God and taking in his knowledge and power. I recommend listening to his take on this series music because it was his 1st time listening to it. "Music Theory For Gamers"

The reason most of the main story doesn't focus on character development is that you'll be doing the companion missions on the side which focuses on that. If I had to explain it, it would be like The main story is the plot that happens around you and the companion missions are the moments in between where all the urgent things are over. I am a Lore nerd so I'm sure what I'm about to say will only really apply to people like me, but I don't have an issue with the story being so lore heavy with the world building. In fact all that extra world building makes the world come more alive in a the sense that the things we don't know about still happen in the background. While I agree that the game is a bit heavy-handed with this, to me it all makes sense. I'm pretty sure it's jarring to play character you haven't met yet or are deceased but that's an issue with Gacha games have as a whole seeing as people actually spend money for characters. It'd be rather cruel to rip a character away from your account after they die in game.

5:30 As much as i want to shout "skill issue!!!" for your comment on the jargon part, can't deny that I keep pulling up the wiki every time I play main story. It's like they expected all of us to read every speck of lore in every corner of the game. Also agree with the monotonous scene on the yapping part lol, they atleast move the camera on story in genshin, but not really here. Still one off game i would play daily tho ehe~ it's fun. One thing I appreciate in HSR is the comedy in dialogue options. I like the main character because of their silly attitude. As for gacha, I think it's not a secret gacha players to look at leaks of future character kits and plan their pulls so they don't have to spend money. I just hope they make more unique characters like Screwllum and fix their long-boring storytelling.

(It's 2 games packaged into one, with Cyber Sleuth as the first entry, and Hacker's Memory as a second entry, with a story also taking place in the same world)

I dont know why people rate dancing crazy murder so highly. I think its a great song, but its not especially dramatic or emotional. I suppose if you're judging it in terms of an OST, and unattached to the fight thats going on, it could explain why. Personally I think i like a game song a lot more when it is being used to elevate other aspects of the game.

Mitsuru has a similar damage output ability with MC for elemental damage seeing that you can bridge the gap with the right equipment and assuming you're not mental and roll the dice for magic mastery. All the ranks I have seen are paying her absolute dust. Akihiko should be number two, below Yukari and above Mitsuru for the simple reason of he can out-damage MC. His buff amp characteristic boost all of his buff ergo his damage by 40% and pair that with Yukari concentrate theurgy, you can out the damage MC. Assuming you don't have DLC and Armageddon doesn't count, Akihiko wiped the MC. Aigis deserves a middle spot (#4-#5) seeing that she is the party member you have to worry about the least. Most of her skills are physical so you never really have to worry about SP. She has insta-heal and enduring soul, making her the most dependable party member. Koromaru is the definition of overrated. People hype it up for debilitate but never mention how a lot of his skills require a lot of SP. His second theurgy is only useful if you have strong physical party member given his strongest physical output is... basic attack.

I actually think that the sorrowful aspect of Abdiel's theme fits her a ton. If you read between the lines with her character, she is grieving the loss of the creator and has defiled herself in order to carry on his torch and be a beacon of stability in the world for everyone who desires it. Abdiel is also a traitor, originally siding with Lucifer and betraying him at the last minute with her devotion stemming from the guilt that she feels over being swayed by Lucifer. I think she's a really tragic character all and all.

Fiend theme of 5 Grew on me because the game is scaling with you as a character. To all other SMT protags, the Fiends are these mysterious extremely powerful beings whom are entirely hidden/unique. But you're a Nahobino, you're essentially a true God's original strength. The Fiends no longer compare, so instead of threatening and hopeless, it goes for a mix of mysterious and celestial in a way. They were DLC, so their addition is something you're seeking for the thrill. Given they're entirely optional and are just obstacles to Demi-Fiend's fight, it treats itself as such. Mitama battle theme is actually such a bop for me idk. The deep booms in the back just has me grovin'.

Most of the good parts seem to give you a headache lol I did it with Vengeance only and my S tier are Primordial Goddess (the best in the game, c'mon), Beelzebub, Mastema, Qadistu, (her and) deepest void, DEADLOCK!! The Adversary, and Fallen Heaven Exultation... so cool. My A tier starts with Alkalic Acid Rush, Speedster, Vengeance for Reclamation (mainly bc the part with the voices), Gliding, Bass n Roll, and Beast of Bloodshell (c'mon IT IS good, I was like totally contrary to your opinion my first impression for new battle themes was good bc of it) I agree with No Hipocrisy tho, besides the epic beginning, it doesn't have anything special. I personally prefer Da'at Battle (my favorite normal battle in the series) over Vengeance version. And... Battle Eon that low? Wait. You think the best part of The Adversary ruined it? Forget what I said before. I don't respect your tastes at all. I don't know, Kiryu doesn't have to die in order for him to be out of the story. The moral of his arc is learning to live instead of accepting death, so it would be kinda shitty for him to die anyway in another martyrdom sacrifice. Kiryu may or may not be in LAD 9, but I don't think he'll have that big of a role in the story, considering his current condition, and position of his character.

I finally offed him last night and my lord what an aggravating challenge that was and one I'll probably never attempt again! akihiko should be way higher ,ye he lost his support role but with the right equipment that amps and boosts strike attacks, he can hit shadows like a fcking bullet train, even stronger with koros full party charge persona 3 reload is a physical attack focused game, literally rock Yukari jumpei with maskados katana and dragon boots and slash amp accessory and Akihiko with strike boosting equipment, most of the fights become trivial, where the mc doesn't even have to do much

I had a gf like Yukari when I was younger. This comparison made me realize that it’s extremely rare that a more aggressive personality in a woman is represented well without being toxic. I think Yukari was the best love interest for the protag cause she was snarky and focused, but also sweet. But yeah Yukaris underrated as hell and I’ve never seen her personality captured well in any other fictional character. Only crush I’ve ever had on someone who wasn’t real but hey that’s good character design.
