Suzuki 450 LTA-X King Quad Front diff re-build part 2 SD 480p
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
This part 2 video will show you how to rebuild a Suzuki 450 LTA-X King Quad 2007 front differential, with all genuine Suzuki parts, most parts can not be purchased from bearing specialists, as most parts are of Suzuki's own unique size & shape, seals tend to be wider, with diferant shape lips. I think this Differential is the same for a 700.

Tear down the Suzuki 450 front Differential, to replace all bearings & seals, oil' gear oil 90.Note how the diff lock was sized due to no oil left inside the differential caseing. These parts are all replaced with Suzuki geuine parts, most of the bearings & seals are unique to the king quad, & can't be supplied from a bearing retailer. In my next video Part 2, I will be rebuilding the Diff.

What oil should it be in powersteering ?
ATF automatic transmission fluid. You could use light hydraulic oil too.
Comparte el manual
Hi on the power steering do u have diagram of which pipes go where, I just bought 270, steering has new hydraulic pipes but steering is impossible to turn
Sorry I don’t, but look through my videos about Orbitran unit. Or contact Charnley Leyland dealer.
Hi, Do you know the serial number of this Sealey and a possible value in good working order. Thanks
No, sorry
Hopefully you don’t mind me mentioning, but if you knock the base plate back first , the retainer ring comes out easy save you getting pissed off lol , also the old filter I noticed was put in wrong way round , so hence the confusion on fitting, the original filter with rubber ring goes in first , which sits in the seat inside , but also the longer non genuine will fit fine it sits on the shoulder inside , the oil then which comes through the side of the filter into the middle and out the top , the valve on the filter is then at the bottom so when filter gets blocked it just draws through the valve , the poppet vale in the top of the housing is only a non return for the lift cylinder . Hope that helps, great vid 👍
No not at all, any help is greatly appreciated 😃
Thanks For The Video
Hello Rob We have just bought the power steering bits for our Leyland 384 and have watched your videos which will be very useful when we start the conversion. We do have one problem, which I hope you’ll be able to help with, namely the connections between the pump and the orbitran. What connects to what? Once we know the feed and return the connections to the ram should be easy enough, although we might turn left instead of right! It’s a Danfoss B80 orbitran and a Pleasey Dynamics C14 pump, I think these are pretty well stand for Leyland. Once again hope you can help. Regards Grahame
Yes should be able to help, I’m away at the moment, when I get back I’ll try to do a video showing what goes we’re. If I forget just remind me,
@@thisoldtrialsrider7110 Thanks Rob that'll be great
As you site in the tractor, the feed pipes from the pump, are on the right hand side (offside) top pipe on the orbitran is your feed from the front bottom of the pump, the bottom pipe on the orbitran is the return back to the top of the pump. Left side on the orbitran (nearside) go to the ram on the steering. Hope this helps 👍😀
@@thisoldtrialsrider7110 Thanks Rob that's just what we needed to know. We can now get the routeing for the hoses worked out get them ordered. Once again thanks. Grahame
Hello Rob At last we have got the power steering fitted and working. We piped it up as per your advice and it turned the wheels but was still hard work, not really any easier than the manual steering! We reversed the pressure and return pipes i.e pump out to the bottom orbitrol port and the return from the top port and now we have “one finger” steering. Our orbitrol is a Danfoss B80on.
Good evening, I have a Leyland 462 and the hydraulics do not work, the filter shown in the video, the filter shown has been removed, what could be the cause? thanks!
Have you got any pressure at the tipping pipe? When engaging the PTO does it work? I’m assuming you have checked the oil levels?
@@thisoldtrialsrider7110 the pto works normally, oil has been put in, and there is oil in it.

@@dimitrisxirogiannis9006 and does the tipping pipe have pressure and work?
do you have a video of rebuilding the 262 steering ram inside the tractor? the pin will not come out of my tractor.. i tried torching the metal.. drilling a hole in the bottom and using a punch to pound pin up.. nothing works... so i guess i need to rebuild inside the tractor... a video be great for help.. as i dont know how to get the pin out
Sorry no I don’t
I don't speak inglish.
If you heat up the copper washers with a blow lamp and get them cherry red you can 're use them with no leaks
There correct term is ,power assisted steering ( pas) never was a good steering
I think that the clutch pedal on my 255 Leyland is a bit different, but I'm certain that I will end up using your clever reinforcing design on something else. I've been enjoying and learning a lot from your videos. Kevin
I'm really grateful to have found your videos posted in dealing with power steering issues on your Leyland. I bought my 255 Leyland nearly twenty years ago from someone who seems to have done little to no maintenance on it. Hoping to have the time and finances to restore a number of things which need attention. The steering is my greatest concern this spring.
Glad to help
Hi Rob, I have the same machine, leaking oil from the gearbox. Any idea how to remove the bearing above the brake? Angelo
Sorry no
Very helpful video rob, my 262 synchro has same leak, what size is that O ring?
Sorry can't remember, If you phone Charnleys they will help you, they have them on stock.
@@Robonthemoor brill thanks
Hi Erica, I will try do in the next week or so, but poor the oil into the the large holl on top of the backend, after taking the nut out of course, there is a bolt used as a level gauge on the left side, take it out, poor the oil in, when it comes out the hole where the bolt was, it’s at the correct level.
Hey i have a 272 leyland but I don’t know how to put hydraulic fluid in could you do a video on putting hydraulic fluid in
Which bearings did you use for the differential... the ones that go out to the axles?..according to measurements they are a 60/28... i tried them but they seem way too tight on the gears where the bearing sits or pressed on
Hi Criscos’ the size is correct, but we bought genuine Suzuki bearings, I bought off the shelf one's first, and they don't fit. I noticed the genuine bearing from suzuki had been internally ground, so send them in for grinding 👍if you watch part two, the new bearings go onto the shaft with ease. hope this helps
@@Robonthemoor i returned the bearings that i purchased and ordered one's from my suzuki dealer.. could take up to 3 months to arrive.... i didn't mind paying 55 bucks plus taxes for suzuki ones but didn't want to wait that long... thanks for replying i appreciate the advise
@@criscoscorner3791 yes it is a long wait, I was waiting about 4 weeks. To have them ground out was about £15 each, but I waited for the Suzuki genuine ones.
2.8 litres from empty, 2.6 litres if draining and refilling, better to overfill these slightly so the oil covers the bearings better.
Hi welcome to meet you.daoudgul from pakistan.plz ur whatps no.u from.were u working.

Hi Rob, I came across a similar problem several years ago on a Leyland 255. I cut the end of the new filter next to the metal and replaced it with end off the old filter using epoxy resin to glue the paper element to the steel, (cleaned of the old element and glue). From memory it ended up being exactly the right length and has work ok since.
Hey can you link me up with opel astra2.0i gearbox cant find one!
Where are you based? Uk?
What's the number for the gearbox you have? It will be printed on the casting.
Did u ever fix your Leyland steering pump problem?
Hi Ronan, I've yet to rebuild two more units with new seal kits, I've two sets of caliper seal kit to do as well, so I will do them on camera.
Could a be cheaky and ask how you have piped loader up got one to put on my 384
Yes’ from the tipping pipe, through a spool valve set, returning to the filler cap, put the trailer tipping lever on constantly pumping, and work up and down front loader from each spool chest lever. They must be single acting, unless you're rams have pressure to lift and pressure to return back down.
Exelent thankyou
Can you take a photo of the back end please. robincox89@btinternet.com
where do you refill the oil
Take out the large large nut, right at the top of the casting.
We have a 270.... searched high and low for a filler ... ended up with a funnel through the dipstick ...DONT laugh ha ha ha
