What's the most I've ever saved one 1 grocery item? Heaps. Just after Easter last year I paid $16 for a leg of ham, original price $43. When I got home I cut off slices, chunks and diced it, which all went in the freezer.

Great haul.. I agree everything certainly getting expensive and we are on a fixed income but I do have a set budget every week for the two of us but it’s getting so much harder to stay with in that budget. My bills are paid mostly pre paid utilities, phone and insurances etc. I am extremely disciplined in my budgeting.
