Gomde UK is a Buddhist Centre located on a stunning 180-acre estate in the serene countryside of Yorkshire, UK. Founded by Tibetan Buddhist Vajrayana master Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, we offer authentic teachings rooted in the rich tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

Hi Adam Great that you were able to hear Khenpo La. Of course we would like the sound quality to be better and that is why we have an appeal for donations to purchase a camera with an external Mic. gomde.uk/donate Anyone who is grateful for the Teachings can donate there.
Maybe you could ask Khenpo la the following question?: In your first teaching, you said that everything that increases our negative emotions is non-dharma. But isn't it the case that sometimes one just has to "go through something", like very strong anger, in order to see its futility in the end? If one just stops at the point where it gets too scary, how is it possible to resolve this? Or is wanting to face strong emotions just a way of nurturing the ego?
And also, maybe Khenpo-la would like to answer this question as well: I was told that imitating the Dharma is better than not practicing at all, because there is some merit generated through imitating. What I think, however, is that imitating the Dharma is really dangerous, like you said. So when I don't have the right motivation for Dharma practice, should I use this time to set a right motivation and ask myself what I REALLY want (is that really enough?) or rather use the time imitating and hoping something will change (probably not, right? even though its a little bit of merit) or should I divide it half-half between these two (because blessings and merit have to come from somewhere?)?
