I would double-check that you're using the correct version for the race you're playing, and if you're mid playthrough and they're not showing at the Black Emporium, you might need the Hair in DLCs mod loaded after. I also recommend only using one hairstyle at a time even if they replace different hairs just to ensure there is no conflict. Please let me know if any of that fixes it, and if not, we'll keep troubleshooting!

If you did the steps from the beginning, at 5:58, I talk about saving your original Patch folder; return that to the update folder before running the Mod Manager. If you've ever modded the game before and don't have your original Patch, you might need to uninstall and redownload the game.

You might want to close out of the EA App (probably through Task Manager since it will run in the background if you just X out of it), then open it again and log in (or log out then back in); then minimize it before launching the game through Frosty. I launched the game before tapping next multiple times but it still shows a cross against waiting for process to become active, can you specify how you solved it?

Are you opening the game before hitting "Next" in Frosty?

I've figured it out 😅 I forgot to run Frosty as administrator, so when I ran the game, the first process automatically failed. Now I'm stuck on the mods not working, even after selecting Continue in the Steam pop-up. The game just won't launch with mods even after deleting ModData folder and relaunching :/

@@clover-nix Hey, at least that's progress! So just to clarify: is the game not launching at all through Frosty now, or is it opening but no mods are visible in game?

This has been a great learning experience to not complain before exhausting all options 😅 I was able to get it working! I just had to uncheck "Disable full-screen optimisations" in DAV's .exe Thank you so much for the video and the willingness to help me out <3

I agree with you on that first part, which is why I don't recommend using Vortex, but if I can forgo a mod manager completely, that's always going to be my preferred method since I like having the control. I'm glad you have a way that works for you though!

I know you said you tried every trick, but just to cover all our bases, here are the troubleshooting tactics I recommend: 1. Update your drivers and restart your computer. 2. Run Frosty as an administrator (right click>Properties). 3. Make sure your graphics settings are on ultra and that you've chosen the correct hairstyle for the race you're playing. 4. Delete your ModData folder (Frosty will make a new one the next time your run it). 5. Restart both Steam and the EA app, make sure you're logged into both, then minimize them before launching through Frosty. 6. Lower your anti-virus settings. 7. @PosiCobra Thank you. Unfortunately, I've been through all those steps, several times, but nothing worked. After ten hours of trying I gave up and now I'm sticking to DAIMM, but unfortunately there aren't many mods I want to use that are compatible with DAIMM, as most are made for Frosty.

@@montheadventurer That's a bummer! I know there are special plugins or really niche workarounds out there that I've never tried myself but might work for you - and I don't want you to give up! It's extreme, but maybe uninstall the game and Frosty, then reinstall them both on the same drive but not in the same folder?

@@PosiCobra Thank you! I found what I needed among the DAIMM mods, but if I give it another go with Frosty I'll definitely try this, and hope for the best. I might also give the plugins another try, considering I tried it while I was half-asleep and the chances of having messed up are not zero. Nonetheless, your videos and comments really helped, both me and my friends. 🙏🏻

Thanks! Pardon my ignorance here, but I believe the Swap Library mod and then whatever armor you're using that requires it just need to go at the end of your load order. Is there something specific you're looking to do with it?

I really enjoyed it! And thank you. ☺I actually finished Mera's run last week, and while Inquisition is still my favorite, Veilguard is probably second (or third depending on how nostalgic I'm feeling about Origins in the moment lol). But I guess it's not really fair to rank them since I do love the whole series. It took me a while to get used to the combat (and I never got good at blocking), but once I did, it was so fun! Mage was definitely the way to go for my personal playstyle, and I feel like I lucked out in creating a Rook that really fit the story (and Inquisitor, honestly - a Solavellan whose best friend is Dorian added depth to the interactions with Solas and to her presence in Minrathous). And I definitely get what you mean about pacing, though I will say that I seem to have less of a desire to replay Veilguard immediately like I did with the previous games (though that probably has more to do with my satisfaction over the ending and less about the playstyle). Overall, I loved the companions and the amount of pathos, especially in the last act (I was seriously SOBBING); my only complaints are that I wish there were more choices that carried over (Well of Sorrows, the Divine's handling of mages/Templars, etc.) and more romance content. Oh, and maybe more hairstyles for Qunari. 🤗

Always update drivers and restart your PC first. 2. Run Frosty as an administrator by right-clicking and going to Properties. 3. Delete your ModData folder (more detail about that is in the pinned comment). 4. Open either Steam of the EA app (whichever you're using) and minimize it before launching through Frosty. Launching once through the platform without mods first can sometimes kick-start things too. 5. If you've made any changes to graphics settings, revert them. And there are some other tips that some users have recommended throughout the comments here, but typically one of these steps should fix it. Please let me know if not, and we'll keep looking!
