Well done!!
Quite idiotic to set the "homage" to that song. Like Gherman is some sort of Russian Kusturica. Talk about clueless.
I thought it was like a f you to it you know .
Such a fantastic tribute!
We miss you
Hell fucking yes. More of these please.
Valhalla Rising and Only God Forgives are my favorite Refn movies. Loved this. Subscribed!
Emeğinin karşılığını alamıyorsun. Saygılar.
Perfection
Beautiful
Tarkovsky changed my life
Wow thats so nice to hear. Mine too❤
Tarkovsky the best of them all! Subscribed :)
That second piece is the St. Matthew Passion, correct? It’s the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard, and is so fitting for Tarkovsky’s work.
Perfect singing!!! I've never heard better!
dont cry
Whats the name of the movie at 4:48?
The steamroller and the violin.
@@stephohartigan Thank you very much!
Excellent tribute to a far too overlooked director
Whats the name of movie at 0:54
The Mirror (1975)
It's funny that Tarkovsky was totally against this kind of editing. He would have thought that you butchered his films. Of course I, like many others, apreciate your video, so we can enjoy the beauty of his images without having to go through the torture of watching the entire films, which are extremely boring.
Thank God, Tarkovsky was against mainstream, unlike most of others, that's why his pictures are so unique. If he listened to everyone, how to entertain the public, it would never be like this. He is a painter and poet, not just director. There are plenty other directors, no one force you to watch.
Could someone please tell me the name of the song that starts at 1:28?
That‘s gotta be „Erbarme Dich“, an aria from within the „Matthäuspassion“/ St. Matthew Passion by Bach. I believe Tarkovsky used it in the score for the mirror, although it‘s been a while since I last saw it.
@@G-SuSderProfi Oh thank you very much!!
Tarkovsky was the man
Cinema master. Andrei Tarkovsky R.I.P.
what a shame his movies are not more accessible in the West
really? why?
I love his movies, but it requires a mind that most of the west cannot comprehend
Sinemanın şiirsel anlatıma sahip yönetmeni. Karşısında saygıyla selamlıyorum 🙏
Never heard of this director. Omg he's like an insane Andrei Tarkovsky!
What a wonderful tribute to a genius. I just saw Mirror this week - my first Tarkovsky film. Can't wait to see the rest. Perhaps the greatest director of all time; esp. When you consider that he made almost allof his films in totally Soviet USSR
nicely made.
Wow
Merci Caroline Cohen de me l'avoir retransmis.
Your music choice and editing really goes against the imagery. Sorry.
your ass doesn't go with your butt
Nobody captured the soul in its primitive visual yearning as well as Tarkovsky did.
What's the name of this song? Hmm... Lovely.
Adanowsky - You are the one

Poetry at 24 frames a second.
This is a video I had to sit down to watch
Textures and contrasts. As a film/digital photographer I can see through some things, so primitive yet so mesmerizing. just blows me away at times.
As Ingmar Bergman himself said " The greatest of them all"
Master 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
what a wonderful video; thanks for sharing; yes He is one in a million.....
Oh that kiss from Ivanovo Dětství...
Who is the woman at 5:00?
Margarita Terekhova from The Mirror
She is beautiful!
You're mistaken. It's Olga Barnet from Solaris.
Right. Thank u
Octave Ergébelle But margarita terekhova from The Mirror is just as beautiful as is the whole film itself. You should see it. it's a total work of genius and makes you realize what a bunch of bleep American films are.
Wich opera music is that??
De Frente Pra Tela Bach's Erbarme dich mein gott
beginning? Carl Orf - Carmina Burana .. . .
Incredible...
There will never be another like him.
I agree Never!
Wouldn't it be better to hope there will be someone better or just as good?
Different, maybe. Not better. I think we've reached the peak of film making a long time ago.
You are right
And that I can truly agree with. We always improve standards though
