I use 100 proof vodka to preserve. I have some I made 2018 no mold! Use a glass nib, a bamboo pen, or stainless steel nib. Black walnut ink will corrode regular metal nibs. I'm saving my red onion skins til I get enough to make a small batch of ink thanks to you!

That's absolutely brilliant! Thank you. I use a lot of notebooks but would love not to have to spend money buying them! I work in offices where there's a lot of mail coming in and I felt it was a shame that the envelopes were being thrown away so just now I searched 'how to make notebooks out of envelopes and hey presto! your video! Can't wait to start gathering envelopes to make notebooks.
