If I remember correctly, I had to use invincibility and infinite ammo codes just to get through it, but it was enjoyable playing in and around The Matrix Reloaded, nonetheless.

What's a janky game that you adore?

This is my childhood game. Then I played path of Neo and I was absolutely blown away by it.

I'm not trying to be a bellend, but why is the intro so long? 😂 Fun video, all the same. Just a little under 10% of your video is your intro, I guess is my deal. That and I'm just biased against intros in general, I guess.

it looks like there is a glitch in the matrix

I don't mind seeing this game get a overhaul remaster, improve the gameplay controls, gameplay AI, graphics and a better engine. something like by Nightdive or someone else.

I remember my friend and I loving this game. I remember us playing it all night that summer while drinking Matrix themed powerade. Good times. Haven't played it in 20 years though.

Just beat the game for the first time ever today (had it back in the day, but got stuck on one of the Airport sublevels) so finding this video is kinda' fortuitous. EtM is awful, even by 2003 standards. I never felt like I knew what I was doing with the kung-fu, and the gunplay always ended up being "hold focus, lock-on and fire buttons at the same time," but I love the added lore to the trilogy. As for other janky games, I gotta shout out Drakengard 1. It's a mediocre Musou clone, and its translation neutered a lot of the original content, but I loved it at release, and I love it now, and more importantly, without Drakengard, there is no Nier.

I remember this level i spent over 3 days trying to figure out how to beat the stage but i got stuck until i found out instead of timing my jump i couldev just pressed up and down over and over again till i got past this part

Way back when my family only had 1 tv, 2 movies that would work with the PS2, and 2 two eventually one PS2 game. The latter one is Enter the Matrix. This game is a core memory for me

It's too bad this game more or less sank Shiny Entertainment, they had an original sensibility that's been lost. MDK3? Anyone??

While this game does TECHNICALLY suck, enabling infinite health, ammo, and focus and endlessly fighting the Agent in that room on the rooftop level and the secret vs. mode made up a larger portion than my childhood than most actual good games. It's really too bad that couch co-op isn't really a thing any more, because now that I think about it, the ghetto ass multiplayer for Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, the Return of The King game, and War of The Monsters, none of which are really THAT spectacular compared to the rest of the PS2 lineup, probably account for a solid 50% of my weekends from 2000-2005.

Never played it, but a friend and I watched all the cutscenes as part of a Matrix marathon. That was worth it just for the line, "The link is as vestal as my bunghole."

It's kinda odd that as a kid, I actually waited for this game's release. My biggest complaint about it were square wheels in PC version and the fact that game was too friggin' short.

It's like, get rid of the whole driving sections, refine the animations and combat and you'll get a 100times better game! I really had fun with this back in the days as a kid before the whole matrix became a redpill meme, when it was just cool action mixed with eastern philosophy. But the driving sections were just really bad not matter if you're the driver and god forbid you are at the guns cause the AI doesn't know how to drive. I kinda liked the combat and some finishing moves we're great to watch. Sometimes it was a little bit clunky and not super refined but I really enjoyed the whole experience but once you get to the driving part, it falls apart...

Came here from the reddit post. Nice overview of the game. While I enjoy it, I will say one of it's biggest problems is that it's connected too closely to Reloaded. If you're not familiar with the movie, the story can seem really random at times. Not a huge issue for fans of the series, but I can definitely see how it would affect someones enjoyment of the game.

Both Heihachi and Jinpachi cutscenes can also be seem in the PS2 port. Heihachi's cutscene can be seen in Time Attack mode (his cutscene is absent in Dark Resurrection (except for Raven)), while Jinpachi's intro cutscene is in both Story Mode (non-Mishima characters) and Time Trial mode. His defeat cutscene is in Time Attack only
