@@joshuastclairmusic Just keep going. My friend had a game channel in youtube, and I edited the most part of its videos. He stoped of create and he didn't had the perseverance to stay groing, and now all that we have done is just some "nostalgia", but I'm shure that if he would keep going and didn't stopped, he should have a big channel. I'm saying this not because I think you're not perseverant, no, because when I see your old videos so now it's notable that you're very perseverant. Actually, I'm saying this because you just need have some vision that until now you probably didn't had. I hope your channel grow up. When it happen, I will be there. God bless you. Actually I never gave up haha, I just put all my effort into another channel, and it’s almost at 600 subscribers there so things are finally picking up some traction. I might have a bit more time on the side this year to make videos for this channel again, it would be nice for this one to grow as well as it was the first and it’s dear to me.

Thank you I really appreciate that! I’ve learned a lot over the years and I’m applying it to another channel. For now this channel is just a passion project but later on I’ll put some heavy focus on it to make it feel very magical and inspiring!

Haha thanks I really appreciate that. I have another channel where I focus way more on production value and I use my AT2020 to record audio. I wanted this to just be way more relatable and unedited.

Haha yeah I guess. I'm not really aiming to be famous. I just want to be able to explore my creative ideas and develop my artistic skills with the full depth and focus that I can! I want to fully realise my ultimate creative vision, that's my main goal.

Yes I think niche is important at the start I think, which is why I've changed my strategy and I've made my 2nd channel my main channel, as it is more focussed on a clear niche (music), whereas now this channel has become my passion project. My vision for this channel is way too big to manifest at this time, but I'll slowly work towards that vision, while I grow the other channel big! For now, I'm just enjoying the creative process and improving my skills - sounds like you're on the same buzz! Also, yes! I am from New Zealand - I love sharing the incredible landscapes of the South Island on my channel with music and video :)

@@joshuastclairmusic @joshuastclairmusic Thanks for reading and for your response 😊 Yeah I tried different niche's for different channels. Still struggled to grow though. But ya know what helped the most? Shorts! It's a great way to gain thousands of views and new subscribers but you need to schedule a lot. I have hundreds lined up for the next couple of months again but then taking a break from them! 😅

@@NobelCats I definitely agree, shorts seem like a great way to grow. But I've always been personally adverse to making shorts. It goes against some of my values as an artist and so I made a rule for myself to not make shorts, even though they will help the channel grow. I made one short on my other channel, but when I posted it, I felt really bad about it so I deleted it and made up my mind then.

Thank you so much! This was all filmed in the University of Otago campus where I study. Even when I didn't study here, I would visit and listen to the Harry Potter soundtrack for the fully immersive experience 😂
