Evening Skincare Routine | 12 Product Favorites + Trying Gua Sha and Retinol | Part I
Last year I turned 30 and decided to level up my skincare regimen to start protecting and preserving my skin. I initially introduced some Mary Kay Timewise products which jumpstarted a deep dive into anti-aging products and techniques. I am here today to share 12 of my favorite products for anyone transitioning into their thirties or just wanting to start an anti-aging routine. I've also listed some additional holy grail products not featured in this video below, so keep on scrolling!
Looking for a Norwex Consultant? My mom can help you out: laurimays.norwex.biz/
Need a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant? My aunt will take good care of you: www.marykay.com/lindajohnson
12 PRODUCT FAVORITES from this video:
1. Bath & Body Works foaming hand soap: A cult classic for good reason, it gets down to business when it comes to disinfecting your hands.
2. Norwex chenille microfiber hand towel: Norwex is a new discovery for me (credit to my mom) and I just love the company, philosophy, and products. All of their microfiber cloths are extremely luxurious and high-quality, and this gentle towel dries your hands so quickly.
3. Mary Kay Timewise 4-in-1 cleanser for normal to dry skin: My go-to cream cleanser that contains resveratrol, vitamin B3, and age-defying peptides. I also love the gentle exfoliating beads sprinkled throughout this face wash.
4. Norwex microfiber body & face cloth: A microfiber washcloth that deeply cleanses your skin by simply adding warm water. I like to use it dry to pat down my skin after cleansing.
5. Thayers witch hazel (cucumber scent): This is my ultimate psoriasis fighting ingredient that I use on my face and on targeted areas of my body during flare-ups.
6. La Coess organic face oil and white jade Gua Sha tool: The most exquisite way to give yourself a quick, at-home facial is with this oil and gua sha tool. This product will give you all the lift on your face and neck, and will probably lower your heart rate in the process. It is so relaxing...
7. Castor oil: A simple and natural way to encourage the growth and health of your lashes and brow hairs.
8. Norwex microfiber face cloth: I use this to remove makeup or dirt and grime, and the slippy texture of this cloth, when used wet, is unbeatable. Plus it magically comes clean after washing even after battling the toughest mascara.
9. Mary Kay Timewise eye cream: I really enjoy my eye creams, and this one is a great moisturizing wrinkle fighter in my book.
10. Mary Kay Clinical Solutions Retinol 0.5 set: Admittedly I am new to retinol, so this will be an experiment. So far I've had no negative effects and will continue to use this following the 8-week guide included.
11. Mary Kay Timewise night cream for normal to dry skin: This is my current favorite night cream because it isn't too light or too heavy. I think the weight of this formula is excellent and I visibly notice a difference in the morning when I use this product.
12. Laneige lip sleeping mask: A great overnight deep treatment that plumps and smooths your lips.
5 Bonus Holy Grail Products:
1. Mario Badescu enzyme cleansing gel: I use this when my skin needs a more "squeaky clean" feel, as opposed to a cream cleanser.
2. Mario Badescu facial sprays: I've used all formulas of these facial sprays and they are wonderful for re-awakening your skin throughout the day or adding a little moisture refresh.
3. Drunk Elephant Protini polypeptide cream: A pricey yet fantastic face cream full of good stuff that evens the skin tone and helps reduce texture.
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair cream: A more affordable multi-purpose moisturizer that is gentle and made with simple ingredients.
5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal mask: This mask is my go-to as a remedy for pretty much any skin issue.

    I unfortunately did not wipe mine down prior to Glossing periodmy terracotta plant was outside for quite a long time and is a bit weatherworn. But it has pictures of things that my children had drawn on it so I wanted to presrve that and I sprayed from the can instead of using a brush. Its the same product that you're using. But As it dries It kind of has white spots in certain areas and I'm wondering if there's any way that I can fix that

    • @MossAndMirth
      @MossAndMirth 3 роки тому

      Daneka, if you are painting the majority of the pot, I would recommend sealing afterward, but only to protect the paint. If you are only painting a small portion of the pot (for example, a tiny polka dot pattern) you may want to avoid sealing so the pot is still breathable. I would definitely recommend sealing the saucer regardless of what you decide to do to the pot. 😊

  • @marcelbernard158
    @marcelbernard158 3 роки тому

    Why seal the terracotta if the advantage is it is breathable? Sealing will make it not breathable. If you’re painting the outside, you need to seal inside and out as overtime the paint will bubble up if the pot was only painted outside.

    Thanks for the advice! :3 -I can't help but wonder though; if you use this Rust-Oleum stuff to seal the inside of the pot, won't it leach into the soil over time and poison your plant? 🤔

    • @MossAndMirth
      @MossAndMirth 3 роки тому

      That may be a minor risk over a very long period of time I suppose. I would definitely avoid bottom watering a plant in a sealed pot because that would allow water to flow freely in and out of the pot thus leaching things both directions, but if you top water I think it would be far less of a problem. In my case I only chose to seal the saucer that the pot sits on rather than the pot itself, and I rarely allow water to sit in the saucer as I empty it out right away. Personally, I think that would be the best practice. Thanks for the view and the feedback! 😊

    • @GunterThePenguinHatesHugs
      @GunterThePenguinHatesHugs 3 роки тому

      @@MossAndMirth Thanks for your two cents! ☺️ -If you're interested, I recently discovered this stuff that people use to seal their aquariums/ fishtanks with, called 'Everflex Aqua Mate'? (In UK here) I've been using it for the insides and bottom of pots as a sealer. It's hard to spread evenly, but it's like this silicon gel that hardens and is watertight (not just water resistant), and doesn't disintegrate when submerged, and is also fish-safe (and presumably therefore plant-safe) once dry. Still practicing as it's a fiddly process, but it seems promising! 👌
