    Does no one think that maybe his parents getting divorced during his teen years has anything to do with this? Ive noticed that he adores Kate Winselet but never dated her. Seems like he doesn't believe that a woman can be your best friend and your lover long term. You have to pick. Seems empty to me. Ive never thought using someone for sex would lead to anything good.

    i mean the guy doesnt care about her come on, he is very unconsiderate and she somehow manages to love him anyways , and to engage into these weird games for him to understand that if he looses her, he'll loose everything; relationships, especially intimate ones shouldnt be this hard, the women has clearly low self esteem and it reflected on her life partner, a guy who does the bare minimum for her, despite her being the best thing he could ever have at the moment and he still wants her to be grateful for the godd**mn bare minimum. i think a good therapist should advice her to leave and move on with her life.

      @@danielchuLebron is deeply narcissistic. It’s amazing to me a professional can’t see through it. To be fair, I doubt you keep up with his antics and the media’s gross bias to reframe everything he does as “terrific guy! what a great father!” What kind of a father forces an NBA team to draft his son just so he can add another dumb insignificant reason to his list of “reasons” he’s the GOAT, without any regard for how much backlash and negativity his son is going to get for it. Especially after getting a guaranteed 30mil contract just for being Lebron’s son. Bronny seems like a genuinely nice kid who could have GREATLY benefited from another year or two in college. Especially considering he doesn’t NEED to enter the draft for financial reasons like a lot of kids do. Instead, “father of the year” is going to put this kid through hell with the media and through hell with his peers who are 10x better and don’t have a 30mil dollar contract. I’m literally dumbfounded by how many ppl can’t see how obviously narcissistic, self-serving, and egotistical this man is. Lebron gives off zero masculine energy, he clearly NEEDED a father. The guy literally, just two or three days ago, refused to fist bump Stephon Marbury bc the last time Stephon Marbury was on TV he. said he thought MJ was still the GOAT…how incredibly childish do you HAVE TO BE? Please do not tell me this is healthy, appropriate behavior for an adult…let alone a “leader.” What we really need is a psychology expert to do a case study on the general population’s inability to perceive someone any differently than how the media presents them to us

    • @danielchu
      @danielchu 13 днів тому

      @@MrKurtykurt I'm not going to say you are wrong about Lebron and his intention with Bronny but you are espousing a particular narrative that may not be true. Maybe Bronny's life goal was to make the NBA and his dad is using his position in the NBA to make his kid's dream come true. Maybe they both want that and they were able to make it happen. Nepotism is not uncommon and certainly is not evidence of Narcissism. Maybe you are intimate with the situation but as someone who is pretty far removed from all of it it doesn't exactly scream self serving to me. You are right I don't keep up with everything so I always reserve the possibility that I am wrong. I didn't hear about the Marbury thing and if you are right I would agree that his actions are immature. Thanks for the back and forth.

    People need to stop thinking because a mom is a single parent they're living in poverty. My mom was a single parent, and we didn't live in the ghetto, bad neighborhood, get arrested, or any of that. We lived in good houses, lights on, and food in the refrigerator. Could my mom have used more money? Yes. My grandfather was a father figure, uncles, and men in our church. We all have degrees, which range from bachelors, Masters to Ph.D. So, single mom does not mean poverty, drugs or drinking. People need to stop putting that label on them.

    He did not have his father, but for some time I believe he stayed with relatives and sometimes his coach from middle school. His mother was working a lot and could not properly pick him up or feed him after school. So he did have people to take care of him when he was growing up. I think he kind of picked up words of wisdom and also the sense of family cuz of his relatives and coaches. His coaches from basketball and football helped him with his mindset and discipline. His basketball coach always taught him to play the right way, which means finding ways to help the team win or making winning plays. So that really stuck to him until now along with just get better every day..there is always something that he can improve on and there are other ways to help guide his team. I think what I take from LeBron is that in whatever situation that you may be in life. Only you can really break that mold, expectations, stereotype that people put you in. Only you can forge that path and continue building on what your definition of success and happiness. You also have to find that solid support system who has your best interests at heart. I think that’s what LeBron had and just as they stuck by his side..he also helps lift them up and they also became successful in their own ways.

    I think being a therapist locks you in a perspective of dealing with people that are in a relationship already. I can't disagree with what you've said, but at the same time it feels a bit one dimensional. While emotional health is the most important in the long run, it's not something you can present in a brief time, let alone in those first seconds when one meet someone and his/her instincts decide whether he/she's attracted or not. Looks/Money/Status is an important factor when it comes to attraction. Not enough on their own to form a long lasting relationship. But if one does not have them at acceptable level, in some case he'll be simply filtered out. People have various (negotiatable) expectations about their partner (that they acquire through their instincts/upbringing/social norms, etc.). And for instance if someone is ugly (let's say 3/10) with a solid emotional health level (8/10), he can easily end up in a situation, when the other person will decide "this is nice, but I can do better"... and that "better" can for instance be a 6/10, 6/10, depending on the needs of that person. Also simplyfing it to "some wome all care about is a bentley" case as a way to downplay it is not genuine. People are not that simple in their behavior.

    • @higheyeq2670
      @higheyeq2670 Місяць тому

      Good points, couple caveats that leap out to me. 1. Something like 80% of human communication is through body language. It's very possible that your mannerisms can displays your level of maturity and mental health quickly. 2. People tend to marry those who are equal to them in attractiveness. So maybe while dating it is a problem, but ultimately you will be okay as long as your goal is a long term relationship. Additionally, if you shoot for people in your league, you should do well in the short term as well. And if you don't, then you're as much part of the problem as the girl would be. - I know women rate most men as below average, but the power of this stat is that it's not about the ratings, it's about who they actually choose.

    • @danielchu
      @danielchu 29 днів тому

      You know I agree. I'm not saying looks/money/status are not important factors. All I'm saying is that it should not be the priority and someone who is able to have a healthy relationship should be the the priority. I do think that there are some women who look for status and money because it indicates to them that the person has ambition and competence...good traits in a person. However there are those who simply want the bentley because they are materialistic. I don't think that is a stretch. You are absolutely right it takes some time and data gathering to determine whether someone is emotionally healthy. Thanks for watching and for a thoughtful comment. Blessings.
