    This is an awful lesson..Just too much for a beginner!!

    That's a very sidewards swing comparing to mine. I'm sure mine is wrong because it's upright and hard to get a fast swing. How do you get up to the ball? Do you just lean left?

    I don't know what you're talking about man. Sure you can say we had it good, but you didn't give even one example about why you thought it was a more match. Just criticizing to look like an expert and gain respect

      @@francisremedios2530 ok, if you have had a shoulder injury before I highly recommend that you get blood into the shoulder right away and get it warm before doing any of the exercises highlighted in the video above. There are a couple light band exercises that are great for the shoulder (I can post a video of them if you would like) followed by the figure eight shadow swing as seen here. That should loosen the shoulder. Another note for shoulder issues is to make sure you are not “pronating” early on your serve, keep the hand from pronating until you make contact with the ball. You’ve probably seen club tennis players do this, it appears for a moment before they swing upward for contact on the serve that they are making a serving tray motion with the racquet face. If you can avoid doing that during your service motion it will help so you do not tweak the front part of the shoulder. Lastly you will want to make sure that you are tossing and contacting the ball in the correct zone (for righties it is 1oclock-lefties it is 11oclock) if you contact the ball out of the zone you will run the chance of tweaking the shoulder as well. I hope this helps! 💪🎾

    Does anyone see a near waiter tray on the take back as the racquet reaches shoulder height? It looks like the wrist opens slightly in that position. However, it's very slight and then is transitioned into a beautiful service motion. Thank you.

      @TennisGeniusOfficial 2 місяці тому

      I see what you mean, however it appears this way because he opens the palm on his way to the trophy stance so it is more of a momentary transition phase but nothing technically wrong. Good eye though

    Hi coach, How about the jump when serving?

    • @TennisGeniusOfficial
      @TennisGeniusOfficial 3 місяці тому

      Hey! The jump all depends on how advanced your serve is. Often people focus on the jump and power and accuracy before getting the solid fundamentals to a comfortable spot where it feels rhythmic and natural. I recommend to think about it like this: When you toss and you release the ball keep going up with your tossing arm as if you are reaching up toward the sky, as you do this you will tilt back and your tossing hip would shift towards the baseline and this is when you would engage the knee bend- bend your knees towards your toes and if you do this you will know when to jump. Although I have served upwards of 130 mph with almost zero knee bend to prove to students that the power comes from your wrist not necessarily your jump. I hope this helps!
