Hey everyone! Little update here! On reddit I posted a post about this video as well as some of my other thoughts the link is here: www.reddit.com/r/GracepointChurch/comments/1dygubl/reflection_on_meeting_with_a2f/. I wanted to clarify something that I did not intend to do in my video. Someone on reddit pointed out to me at 3:10 that telling people to move on was like sounding like an A2F mentor, Ed Kang. My response is: "Im sorry if when I said it that way, I came off sounding like Ed Kang. I should of clarified more and I'll mention it now that you can take as much time as you need to process and heal from this. Even for me I might sound like I'm totally healed from my experience, but really their aspects like trust with spiritual leaders or helping out in church that still for me is hard to do still." Looking back at this Im not proud that I skipped morning service to do this hike. In the moment though I was okay with it. I think a friend from IV skipped with me as well.

Pretty sure we get higher attendance for their triple-a team, the aviators here in Vegas. What a shame. I'm conflicted as a Vegas native. I am happy that they're coming, but also incredibly sad for how they treat their base in Oakland. Awesome video. Much love.

Thank you for sharing your story. I also attended A2F UCR a few years back...& was heavily involved in the church during undergrad....and I'm glad I left! It makes me so sad that they're STILL not taking accountability and STILL hurting people through the process (to say the least). I hope you'll find a fellowship that truly cares about your well-being and that you can find healing in <3

I had to leave because I couldn’t accept stories like yours happening every year and the church doing nothing about. No apologies, no public condemnation and discipline of mentors that treat students and other members like that. All I saw was a name change because of the Christianity Today article when in fact nothing changed. Even worse, many times our services were “ads” (indoctrination sessions) for these other churches where abuse is more rampant. I feel repulsed by people that mislead people like that, especially when they use the name of my Lord for it.
