    Hi , how area of your land, and which place. in the borewell how many inches of water , you were able to get. what is the capacity of the tank and how much it costed you. thanks . all the best

      @EcosafeFarmer Місяць тому

      5.21 Acres, Near Palacode (Dharmapuri District in Tamilnady). Water output from the bore is only 1.5". At the moment, we are able to run the bore motor for around 2 hours, then we had to give it a break of 2 hours, then we can resume pumping. It takes almost 3 days to fill the sump of capacity ~75k litres. Sump cost ~ 1.7L, we constructed using solid blocks, and mesh plastering

    Good to see groundnuts being saved! Greenary looks nice! One thing caught my attention - why the borewell pipe is having another elbow joint? When water comes out with a lot of pressure, it will be better to have maximum straight pipe length in order to avoid any pushback to such force from pipe itself. We avoided such elbow joint in the begining area from the borewell at our house. Progress looks good! Thanks for sharing it.

    Following you since quite long. This is your second purchase I guess. Btw if you can manage to get 1000 litres water daily try this thing. Install a raingun at your groundnut land piece and just spray the 500 litrs water in the morning ( about 6 - 6.30 ) and evening right after sunset. Your plant will survice and will also yield. This is called Air Irrigation. If your doing this please keep us updated. This method created moisture in the air which plant can directly use.

    • @EcosafeFarmer
      @EcosafeFarmer 4 місяці тому

      Hi @laabhn, It's actually the first purchase - previous ones were leased. Thank you so much for the suggestion, rain gun a great idea. I did think of the option, we can buy a tanker load of water but unfortunately we still don't have the power connection.

    • @Addy-xq6rp
      @Addy-xq6rp 3 місяці тому

      Thank you for the response, we are also planning to implement a similar kind of model in our 1 acre land. We are making 100 beds of 100ft length and 3 feet wide in 1 acre. If you could share your experience and the profits you made / month with this model, it will really motivate us . Thank you

    • @EcosafeFarmer
      @EcosafeFarmer 2 місяці тому

      @@Addy-xq6rp Frankly, we didn't make a profit. The issue was, we were supporting two labour families and 1 caretaker for just a 3 acre farm. 5 people could have easily supported 5- acres. On top of that, there was the lease expense. Cost per acre was just too high for the income we were getting. We were making these raised beds with manual labour. Its best to use a tractor - bed maker to be cost-efficient. Managing the farm remotely was also a bit of a challenge. With all this said, in my opinion, 1 acre land (say a mix of veggies and lettuce) must yield at least 3-4L per year in revenue. If we have a larger piece of land (or) if we are able to collaborate with neighbours, we could achieve a lower cost-per-acre.

    1.Market decided prices will only be acceptable they are profitable to farmers 2.Storage facility is the most important requirement for Indian agriculture to keep prices stable may be individually or in association it must be done in modern ways of silo storage 3. Regarding profitability I want to say that food grains can never meet Indian farmers profit as because of India's poor consumers hence the only way is to reduce own production cost or change the crop 4. There must be always a subsidiary crop resistant to maximum factors like bamboo Or a subsidiary business that can be done within the land in hold by the farmer 5. For the irrigation problem farmers must accept the present availability of water and choose the right crop. The water that falls on the piece of land is the farmers water which must be harnessed by the farmer properly

    Reality of farming: - Per capita GDP of the farming sector is extremely low. - Contribution to gdp is only 18% compared to service sector 60%. 💡 Few reasons , Why Farming in India is Unprofitable & Inefficient: 1️⃣ Heavily subsidized industry that drains taxpayer money 💸. 2️⃣ Overregulated, stifling free-market competition. 3️⃣ Land usage restrictions: Average holding is just 2.6 acres compared to Brazil’s 180 acres. 🚨 The reality: India’s farming sector is bogged down by inefficiencies mainly due to excessive government regulations and protectionism. 💡 How to Fix Farming in India: ✅ Implement farm reforms (the ones retracted due to irrational protests 🚜). ✅ Abolish land ceiling limits all over India to enable larger, more productive farms. Also citizens should be able to buy farm land anywhere in the country. ✅ Encourage contractual farming to bring efficiency and innovation. ✅ No protectionism - let the market decide prices, not the government!

    Hi, Thanks for the detailed valuable information. I have couple of queries. 1. I see that you have used the plastic thank. Since, we have added cowdung in thank for preparation of jeevamrutham, do you think this will reduce the lifespan of them? 2. If given an option to set this up again, will you use plastic tanks or cement rings to prepare thank? 3. How will you remove the residue which is present in the tank? All the best. Thank you in advance.

    • @EcosafeFarmer
      @EcosafeFarmer 5 місяців тому

      Apologies, didn't notice these messages earlier. - We've been using the tanks for like 3 years and so far, they are good. For large farms, I would suggest concrete tanks and some permanent structures. - We have a 2inch gate valve very close to the bottom of the tank to remove the slurry. Kindly note, we have moved away from the leased farm. Now working on setting up the infrastructure for our newly purchased farm land. Since its owned, we are thinking about investing in a permanent setup with concrete, instead of plastic. Yet to reach that stage - still awaiting power connection and working on sheds and land preparation.
