Frustrating today for sure. Couldn't get to info, and when I did, I can't seem to remember where it is! I am pretty sure I've had a round near R5 before but couldn't remember where it was!

You're definitely getting better at pinpointing the US. Getting both dis-contiguous states in one game isn't very helpful. They can be a bit tougher for some reason.

Love the world maps, even though I'm not as much of a pin-pointer as you. I'm most annoyed with Colo and Czechia. Just couldn't find what I was looking for on the map. Cheers

I haven't watched this video yet, just making a comment on a couple of other things well, I managed 23k on the daily challenge today! It was a lot more helpful when I could recognise place names and languages. Unlike when I was watching David do his DC this morning I think, where he saw that rift and picked the country (I spent ages looking around for language and though I saw something that looked like it said Kazakhstan. It's just a matter of getting the right seed. Like in an Australia map, I manged a 25k the other day. As you'd have seen, some of those Aus/QLD maps plonk you well out in the middle of nowhere! For now, I'll just mix up random local maps with the DC and possibly ones like "famous places" or similar.

Bookend 5Ks, but couldn't pinpoint the middle three. R4 was tough for a non-Aussie, given all the Canterbury/Bankstown signage. Would be interesting to see you speed run until you break the record.

I deleted my comment because I realised that I was reading the results wrong and I thought my click was where the actual road was, but I was actually off to the left further. Anyway, I did manage 1 5k and another within a few 100m. I was spending too much time looking on the map for roads, based on names I'd seen, then realising I was often in a completely different area to where I was supposed to be.

3rd round u rushed way too much. There was heaps of clues on the left you just skipped through.

Only Aussie can pronounce The Gong, (and say it fast) and it ain't on the Indian Ocean. Good Uni, good food, nice people, great beaches. The home of Aunty Jack & and thin Arthur.

I particularly liked the signs in the SC decrying the planned rail saying "don't turn us into the Gold Coast"

well, I managed to fluke a couple of the countries very late on, thanks to some lucky domain addresses, but I got all 5 in the end. I thought the last one was Italy for a while, until I found a .pt on a work van. I thought the Austria round was Netherlands, then found a .at. It's not easy to find some of these small places, even on a 27" screen! I'll watch the video a little later.

I almost goofed on the Sunshine Coast one, then I remembered that Buderim Ave wasn't actually in Buderim! I didn't get it exact though. I found the side road but forgot where the start point was. Most of the others were close enough based on a couple of visible clues, but with most, I just couldn't find the location in time. Not bad for my 1st challenge, but it was Australia, so I did have some idea of the locations.

Love the world map play-alongs. I think you out-hedged me each round until the last, but I couldn't quite catch you. Cheers

After watching you play, I definitely went the wrong direction on R1. BTW, the blue bollards are a WA thing, but I didn't find any. I always seem to mix up rural WA with rural QSLD. Watching you on the Darwin round was painful, haha.

seems like we have very similar methods of reasoning about a round - but great plays here. think i had a bit more luck with the rounds having gone to UNSW myself, and having gone to Marsden Park Costco/Ikea a fair bit in the past - so I've visited that Woolworths before. my favourite fun hack if you ever find yourself at Marsden Park IKEA/Costco on a busy weekend - usually there's a huge queue of traffic waiting to turn off from Langford Dr onto Richmond Road, which means it might take 2-3 traffic light cycles for you to turn. instead, go straight instead of turning right, which takes you across to the other side of Richmond Road to where that shopping centre is, use the roundabout to turn back and then turn left onto Richmond Road instead.

The Bankstown one is like at least 6 years old as that bus station no longer there now. And the last one in Padstow is 1 of my 2 local Maccas and is probably the closest to me.

Pretty sure I agree exactly with your assessments on this one. Last Scripting round: It doesn't "Disappear" necessarily, it's just so exact that their marker covers the flag. They've moved it so it wasn't so exact and would seem less suspicious.
