First Issue With My 2008 Honda Rancher 420
This oil change didn't go as planned. Lots of gas in the oil. I believe my explanation in the video may be right, but since then I've decided to rebuild the top end. This rancher has never given me any issues so to play it safe ill rebuild it. I ordered an OEM top end rebuild kit ($$$) and will be making a future video on that. And to be honest it's probably long overdue anyway. But the work performed in the video did make a huge difference so all in all it was worth it. Thanks for watching! Appreciate ya!

Wrestling Big Oak With The County Line 25 Ton Wood Splitter
Переглядів 1 тис.Рік тому
In this video I split up some oak that has maybe sat too long? I'd appreciate if someone could help me out to let me know if it's too far gone or still suitable for a wood stove. Everything is a learning process for me but I enjoy it and hope to learn along the way with yall. The County Line 25ton wood Splitter works great for me. But as I stated in the video, I've never owned or operated any o...
Starting My Grandpas Old Remington Mighty Mite Bantam Chainsaw
Переглядів 2 тис.Рік тому
This was my grandpas old Remington Mighty Mite Bantam that was sitting in his woodshed for easily 15 years. I believe it's from the mid to late 70s. I could be wrong. But anyways in this video I see if we can resurrect it and put it back to work. This is a Part 1, we will see how it cuts in part 2. Video was getting a little lengthy.
Definitely Helps Plowing My Gravel Driveway. Grader Blade W/Plastic Guard (ABS Pipe)
Переглядів 16 тис.Рік тому
Testing out ABS pipe on the 3-point Grader blade plowing gravel Driveway. Best solution I've found thus far for plowing my driveway with my setup. As you can see, and I explain in the end of video the snow condition (Wet and Heavy) is making it worse than it should be. So I believe. I think if it was colder (below 32) it would work much better. Lately seems that we can't get it to drop under 34...

    Definitely use ABS not PVC. ABS has a much higher resistance to shock and withstands colder temperatures better than PVC.

    If you are watching this video to learn how to test the glow plug with an ohm meter, test from the body to the electrical terminal. Don’t test from the inner heater end to the body. This is why he gets the same values. If you have an infrared heat gun you can test them in the head before removal on a cold engine by activating the glow circuit and pointing the gun at the base of the plug. A bad one will not warm up while an active one will have a rise in temperature.

    Nice job, did the same thing 20years ago. Took 3"dia pipe, what l had laying around, welded some tabs to line up with cutting edge mounting holes. Larger dia really rolls over without gouging. Quick hint, on your first plowing, push that snow pretty far away from driveway and lot area, just in case you get another successive heavy snow fall. Those previous snow banks get rock hard in certain conditions. Haven't plowed in a couple of winters, miss it, probably the most fun on a tractor 😂

      Wear is fine, it's more keeping it to stay on for prolonged periods of time. I seen where someone cut strips of a horse mat. Then bolted that down in place of the cutting edge. Seemed to work good, just not sure how much time I want to invest.

    Oh yeah, that wood will be good to burn. Oak has a BTU rating of 26 or 27 so even if it has lost a few btus it is still better than most woods. Basically, BTUs are a measure of a wood's density. Oak is dense. It might need to dry out a year or two. A moisture meter will tell you the moisture content on a fresh split (probes going with the grain). 20% or less and it is good to burn.

      Nice! Been a little over a year now and no issues. Use it regularly, have yet to find something it can't split. It will choke down a bit, but still pushes through it all so far.

    I was wondering if it would be due to a bad o2 sensor dumping fuel??

    • @StreamOutdoors
      @StreamOutdoors Рік тому

      It was, I rebuilt the top end anyway recently (didn't really need it but already ordered parts and had it torn apart) but was definitely dumping fuel when sitting and causing high idle/rough start on start up.

      It starts much better now, have yet to have a bad start yet so I'm pretty confident it did the trick. Not sure if some were actually bad and I was wrong testing them or if clean new ones is what it needed. But fires up nice now with proper warm up.

    • @StreamOutdoors
      @StreamOutdoors Рік тому

      No trick. They're 100% mounted backwards. Not sure why. My grandpa rebuilt this tractor from almost ground up after it burned up in a barn fire. And not sure if he never realized or he did it for a reason..I just plan on correcting when I replace. But I'm also confused the rear tires are 12-16.5NHS but the manual doesn't mention that size. But I do know the rears are factory because one tire is still burnt 1/2 way round. Kubota gave me no answers.
