This demo ain't accurate, I have the HD599 and it does not sound as muffled as this sounds, to me on PC with G6 dac amp and good EQ it sounds crystal clear, about as clear and detailed as the HD600 which is a surprise since I expected to get disappointed in that regard based on this video and it turned out it's not the case thank god :)

I purchased 660s recently and was immediately disappointed. Sounded too congested, muddy, and lacking details. Compared to it, Hifiman 400se seems more resolving and open. In my region, 400se is 4 times cheaper than HD 660s.

The plus sounds more airy and a little more shrill on the trebles. The V2s sound a little boxy despite the better frequency response. V2s for studio recordings and Pluses for live stage performances imho.

T60 sound more powerful and immersive

I've heard so many comparisons between the presonus eris and mackie. The presonus clearly provides a nice midrange clarity, glad to hear the bx-3 seems to be in that same ballpark and way cheaper. In fact I think the bx-4 is cheaper too.

PreSonus is more open on highs then Artesia. To my ears, It's hard to know which one has the flatter response. Hard choise.

I have Genius SP-HF1255A, and they are annoying me because they don't have BT (and they have noise when turned on). I have really good deal for R27BT here, but this video makes me not wanting to buy them. I listen to it on different speakers I have access too and Fenda always feel shallow, flat. I am not a bass-lover, but yet still. Comparing this two, I'd say perfection is somewhere between them - Edifiers are a bit too heavy either. And I am impressed my old Genius speakers are so good in comparison after all this years.

Definitely 599 much better, they have no that "from box" sound effect like 569 have, like all closed back headphones have

Dude, wtf I'm almost crying, that Focal Elear sounds like a speaker to me, it's so beautiful and open mids sounding without giving up the bass, with a big sound stage. Till now the best headphone I've ever "listened" to.

Presonus are superior. They are excellent for music, especially if you add a subwoofer.

For the Pebble Plus are you using an external 5V 2A adaptor for its High Gain Mode. It does make a difference. I have been using the low gain mode for two years because I thought high gain meant higher noise level. When I use the high gain mode pair with a linear 5V, 2A power supply, it does widen the soundstage and the sub does punch harder. High Gain mode with external adaptor does change its sound for the better.

Well this is an unfortunate way to find out that I’m going to need to spend more for what I’m trying to get 😅

M-audio sound open, reminds me of the Yamaha NS series, and that is a good thing as you don't need the sound to be affected by an equaliser. Pair the M-Audio with the subwoofer and you will have a cheap and great-sounding setup for audio production, and gaming, films. The Mackie has a strange boost in low mids that to many, sounds fuller and richer but that is only a trick done by companies to make cheap speakers sound more expensive. I am getting M-Audio as rear left and right for my 5.1 Dolby system, I already have great sounding speakers for central and stereo so M-audio will be just perfect for the rear, cheap and open sounding, without much of a sound colouration.

HD 600 for price is great, but 660s or even 660s2 are just better for sure. i got 660s2, when price going down.

I would say it's not a good comparison at all! You should have either compared the Pebble v3 or the Pebble Pro against the Edifier. The frequency distribution between the Pebble speakers and the woofer, unless you placed the mic in an accurate hearing spot, it will not be great. Thanks for doing the comparison though.

GSP 600 done ?

Interesting there's a few samples in there where it's really difficult to tell the difference but there is a slightly higher clarity with the 600's in the heavier dance and rock tracks. The 599 has more of a closeness in the instruments, bit more of a bass line that covers everything. The 599's are a great all around entertainment headphone that is easier to listen to. The 600's are definitely more technical and clear but at the sacrifice of warmth. Honestly I think the 599's are all most people would ever need from a headphone, like putting on a nice warm pair of slippers.

Iloud for the low end and MKII for the highs and sound staging!

Mid range is weak on the T60 and need to activate the voice setting to offset this, which takes away for the treble and bass. Odd displacement set-up there.
