We take a long vacation/road trip at least every couple of years if not more often. I usually check on You Tube for videos of some of the roads and towns where we will be traveling and have found this rather helpful. I started using a dash cam in 2014 with the idea that I could contribute to the selection of the videos available for the roads that can be traveled in the USA. As I have time I am editing more videos all the time and posting them here. The destination should not be the only goal, the road along the way should be enjoyed also.

North Carolina 2019 went into Wilson to check out the Whirligig Park, it was interesting and worth the stop, also checked out the downtown area before heading back to 264 Alternate West. Growing up, I used to bicycle these roads ! The white line was the bike lane. I only got run off the road once -- by an 18-wheeler as we were going down the Main St. hill past Stone & Thomas in Wheeling ! Thank goodness there was an alley to duck into.
Thank You for these great road trip videos. I don't get to travel to Somerset as much as I used too. Lot's of family out there and the little town of Meyersdale is my favorite. I have a lot of family history there. Plus I enjoy going to the Pa Maple Festival in the Spring.

First off, never come into Gothenburg over the overpass. Turn left behind the McDonald’s (0:40) and come in the front door over the tracks on Lake St. (2:20) It’s Bernie’s house! (3:15) Highway 30 ! (3:40). My first house in Gothenburg! (5:13). No closeup of the barb wire buffalo?

Yes, you could say it is an art museum. The Building is small but the collection covers a couple floors and includes some offices of Laurel Arts. papercutters.org/national-museum-of-papercutting/

I've traveled this route several times over the tears. But took it all the way to Vincennes.
If you are going to travel at Chinese hypersonic speed throughout this video, I'm not watching. There is not a reason. It isn't enjoyable.
Good video been down that road before I see you drive the same way I do tied to the right and wide to the left to stay in your lane it’s the same way I drive I grew up in West Virginia

It's "the Bay Bridge" for those who live in Maryland.. Let's not confuse our fellow Baltimorons with such long and fancy names.
Driving in the center lane westbound as you are is ok in the center lane. On the rail lanes, your peripheral vision is going to make it much more tense. The railings seem insubstantial and you can see the water far, far below. Eastbound is not as bad unless you get funneled onto the "new" span and have to drive against traffic in one of those narrow, airy railing lanes.
In 2011 we where eastbound on the westbound span when the earthquake happened in Virginia. The bridge shook, thought I had a flat tire. That is the only time I have ever been really concerned while crossing that bridge. But, I do know people that will not drive across the bridge in either direction.
@@hallfamilyroadtrips8340 I used to be that bad, but have overcome it by sticking to the center lane. I live on the eastern shore and my family on the west. Watcha gonna do?
I learned to drive on this road in the 1950's. I am from Cameron and very often drove to Wheeling.

Fond memories of Limestone. The area where the football field was (and where the new school is now) is called Clouston, at least when I still lived "in town" 30+ years ago. Thanks for taking me back.

Nice road trip channel! We just came back from Lancaster and luckily didn't have any rain, but it was a bit cloudy. We went to see David at Sight and Sound. We also went to Central Market and I'm working on that video next. :)

Next time when you are coming thru Fairmont. Instead of circling the block you should've went down Monroe street that puts u in front of bus station, then turn left than make a right next unto Cleveland Avenue past Ken's Chinese restaurant and keep straight pass gas station and keep going thru farmington

Hi Lequicha how is it going, glad you watched the video. Zigged instead of zagged in Fairmont and ended up on 19 instead of 250 and took a very indirect route to Mannington. Did not get back on 250West until Farmington.

Nice scenery..was in this Road yesterday
The electrified rail line that MD 32 passes over is AMTRAK's Northeast Corridor - which in this area is used by both AMTRAK and MARC. The MARC Odenton station is to the west, and the combined AMTRAK and MARC Marshall BWI station is to the east.

I know, I had an Uncle that lived near the middle school, was going to his house. I did go through Mannington earlier that day on US 250. The video was named "West Virginia 2016 US 250 South Hundred to Fairmont". Hope you enjoyed the video, I will try to get more of downtown next time I am in the area.
