I'm not an expert or anything so take my advice with a pile of salt but don't criticise yourself at the beginning of a video saying that it's shit. It just gives a bad impression, even if it is your first video essay just say that and own it. Who cares if there's dumbasses in the comments like "ummmm your audio quality is not high spec and the jump cuts are way too jarring 🤓" (not an actual critiscim btw lol) Anyway yeah. Don't do that :) Also personal opinion but I feel like the background music was too loud and a bit distracting. Maybe have your voice be louder or lower the volume.

3:37 girl do i have a series of 5 albums for you... okay so the band The Dear Hunter has 5 albums that tell the story of a young man named, well, Hunter as he does a buncha shit in the 20th century. Act I is pretty much just a prologue that introduces Hunter, his mother, and the main antagonist of 4/5 of the albums, the Pimp and the Priest or TP/P for short. TP/P is this pos who owns a church and a brothel called The Dime, and Hunter's mother was a prostitute at said brothel. she keeps it a secret from her son and never lets him venture too far from their home south of the city as to shelter him from the dangers of the world. essentially this method of raising her son led to him just immediately leaving home after her death and making ONLY the wrong decisions. anyways i'm done infodumping love the video and the album you COOKED

Scary Jokes music calms my brain like no other, i litsen to their 3 albums all the time! Happy somebody knows about them. I have a theory that all albums are connected because there are several times where the music sounds a bit of the same in other songs. (I want to be the moon and Pink Smoke is one)

the scary jokes is literally my favorite and i havent seen a single video about them before, thank you for this. my fave song from the album is prolly pygmalion since it uses the greek tale of pygmalion as an allegory for power dynamics/grooming/manipulation. very good song

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! Also: 1:09 Lemon Demon!? Alright, I wouldn't be surprised if you listen to Jack Stauber also lol I didn't know 2:28 that they were enby! (I could tell they were Sapphic tho. As an enby who is myself that is also mostly sapphic, I'm not surprised I like their music) Edit: I watched the whole thing and I loved almost every second of it! I like that I now know more of what I'm listening to and now I like the album even more!
