CNVS Webinar - Warheads to Windmills - 3 sec intro
I struggle with the word “war” here because what’s happening to Palestinians is a full-on ethnic cleansing. The words “war” or “conflict” are not only misleading, but demeaning to Palestinian families who are utterly defenseless, utterly devastated, and being slaughtered daily, both prior to the 7th, and since the 7th. I would also like to hear Palestinian women being interviewed. From attending this forum via Zoom, I recall one of the Israeli women saying that news in Israel is highly censored. But I think UA-cam is available. I urge everyone to seek out UA-cam channels that show new stories that are balanced, truthful. I would suggest Double Down News, The Grayzone with Max Blumenthal, Richard Medhurst for starters. News in the US is censored too. And it’s no surprise since the US benefits greatly by selling its weapons, and donating taxpayer money to fund a genocide, which ultimately is about securing and stealing land and gas reserves. Let’s at least be honest about what’s going on. We are not unaware. There’s a lot of propaganda. But people are paying the price, innocent people who just want to live on land that was stolen from them. I want to add that I really appreciate the sharing of the schoolteacher in this video. I truly felt her sincerity.
You are correct. Thank you for reminding me to be more precise in language.
I remember the Mississippi freedom party and their decision to leave the democratic convention. It was one of the first things I ever saw on TV. My curiosity about FLH has been very high and I thank you for this presentation and the book.
