What happens to the airbag light after the install is complete?
Hey, degenerate, where is the clock?!
Does the clock have to be removed for this mount to work /function?
They make one now that retains the clock in a gen5 4Runner.
When you drive down the road, whatever you have mounted to this will wobble like hell.
Will you have a USB-C court option?
Where do you tap in the wire that you’re routing?
I glued the nut in place before installing.
This is Genius!
What size is the square nut? When trying to install, the square nut fell behind the dash and I’m not able to get to it.
its a 8mm x 1.25mm thread standard square nut
I wish you still sold this one as it covers up the needless clock and looks more OEM.
Hey, I did exact same thing. Redrill the holes but how did you fill the old holes with? please let me know. I'm thinking to use wood dowel to fill the holes.
I know this is a bit late but it’s a good question. I found some cheap panel clips (like for the under hood insulation) that fit the size. that way it wasn’t an airtight seal so moisture could escape if needed but any critters won’t be able to crawl in. also completely removable if I wanted change it.
It Sucks losing the Clock.
Wait, you mean I can have a no drill install AND get rid of the ugly extra clock? Might have to get one.
Where was this when I made mine? Couple questions. You covered the clock up. Why do you have to remove it? The clock cover is still there hidden. AND.. Can the wiring for the clock be used for the power?
Using the Posi-taps is a HORRIBLE way to install this. I have commented on this several times in Multiple Videos but my comments keep getting deleted. There is a better option so you do NOT have to compromise your FACTORY Wiring. I just received my wiring harness and it is PERFECT and cost is almost nothing. PLUS it is FUSED (which can be good or bad depending on how you view it).
What harness and where did you purchase it please.
You need a truck or large suv
does anyone have a direct link for the black console covers? I currently have gray and would love to swap to black. @LabOps?
Any news if/when the Clock Version will be out?
Hello. check out the website, its available now!
Excellent Video
Do you still have a version 1? I have a 2010 and your version 2 says it’s not compatible with my year. Unless it is?
We dont have any more V1s but watch the site, there will be a 2010-2014 version of the kit releasing soon!
you should add a mic plug in port with like you have the usb port, if possible. also the power could have used the clock power plug in
May I know if there is part number of the dash plate been replaced? I am search for that dash plate. Thanks. 2011 trail edition.
unfortunately i haven't found a part number for that part, I think it has to be purchased with the entire center infotainment trim.
@@jobrogie thanks for the check. Appreciated!!
Great Product
I received mine this week. The install was smooth. I love that it has a factory feel and no drilling in my dashboard. Thank you!!
Dude that is so neatly done!!! No drilling or putting screws into the dash to attach a mount. Thank you for making such a great product and video!
Beat one so far ive seen.
I’m really impressed with this set up. I just pre-ordered the clock compatible version. Just a suggestion, maybe develop a wiring harness piggyback so you don’t have to use the posi-taps. I know it’s more work and you’d charge more but it’s worth it.
I didn’t see a clock compatible version. That’s the first thing I wondered if it would work with the clock as my 21 TRD ORP has the clock behind where the phone would be mounted. How has yours worked out for ya?
@@KendrasEdge757 so far it’s worked great. I’ve mounted a gps and a radio head unit to the mounting bracket. No issues so far. I use the outer two ram mounts for the accessories and I can still see the clock. Honestly if it breaks I’ll likely go to the rago mount but this fits the bill and looks stock.
Appears this item has been in Pre-order mode for quite a while. I'd like to order one but have no idea when it will be available. Can you provide an estimate here and on your web site?
This is such a cool solution. I’ve been waiting for a no-drill version of the Rago dash mount type of product, and this looks like an even cleaner design. I’ll 100% be ordering one of these! What sort of power can I expect to get from the USB ports?
What size SkyBox?
do you even need to remove the clock to install this?
For this version you at least need to remove the buttons or the mount won’t fit. The new injection molded unit is compatible with the cock or older display!
Too expensive olso!!
On the new version, can it be USB C instead of the USB A?
the hole in the mount will work for any 1 1/8th inch marine style socket. The ones the come with the kit are only USB A but the wiring and mount would work with any other socket you wish to add.
What brand cross bars are you using. I just bought a 4 runner and I need advise. Thanks.
These were a cheap amazon set we had used on our Jetta Sportwagen. I don't remember which ones now though sorry. Since then we upgraded to the Rhino Rack Pioneer and Backbone system as shown the the other video. Very good upgrade!
When will they be back in stock
I need one of these ASAP! Have any in stock at all? I’ll pay whatever it takes lol!
hello I want to buy the product but the page is not available. Do you know when it will be available?
Lol. This may be because we are watching Jack Ryan on Amazon currently but you definitely sound like John krasinski giving a tech review.
The product is great, and I would argue that since it has been a success overall, you should move from 3D Printing these to full production. I'd be willing to spend $200 for something like this in full molded ABS and not FDM. Are you open to that?
Thanks for the kind words! In fact molds for the upgraded version are being manufactured now! The goal is to have production up and running by the end of spring! The new version will work with all years of 5th gen 4Runners and allow the clock / display to remain in place. Stay tuned!
I REALLY want this. Any news on getting them back in stock?
Any updates on when these will be back in stock?
I’m ready to order. Out of stock though.
Any chance we can get a Version 2 video?!
That seem too complicated. But you did a good job.
What a genius idea. You look like a pro taking this dash apart. Thanks for the video. I will let you know how my install goes -when I get to it.
You fucked up the dashboard and eliminated the clock…WHAT A STUPID IDEA…!!!
Great setup!
Is this made without the USB charger?
I would love to get one of these. Any idea when they might be back in stock?
I ended up buying the ICS Fab mount. Works great.
@@robbyfergusontv how's the ICS treating you? I'm considering this as well.
@@jubeikubegami It's actually really good. Install was straight forward...they have a good video. It has held up great...still looks new. No rattling or other undesirable quirks. I got their dual USB charging port and it puts out enough power to keep two Pixel 6 Pros charged while in use...I mounted two Ram Mounts wireless chargers on it. I'm happy and I definitely recommend it.
This is an awesome no drill option, if you can make one that doesn't require the clock being removed and you will have a winner! Can't wait to see the next design. I'm very interested in this
Stay tuned. New version in the works that keeps the clock!
@@labops1665 are going to make any more 5th Gen 4Runner Dash Mounts ? your sold out and does not say if you will have any again?
@@labops1665 Any time frame? Love your simple, clean and sturdy design.
