the instructions for installing the strings is backwards,, install both strings in the middle then one will come out each side and you will have 4 strings showing each one at 90 degrees, just like their new high priced accessories.. the four strings are at 90 degrees to each other so you get 4 shots at each weed and it m throws the debris away faster, try it.. much better than 2 sets of 2
@@ticketyboo43 wow that’s amazing to know thanks for sharing this information!! really appreciate it and thanks for subscribing to the channel 👍thanks again
Your sound is horrible!!
Neighbor lady bought it brand new four months ago. Decided to use a lawn service, gave it to me with 33 hours on it.

@@totaltechcanada451 thanks for sharing that’s great to know 😊 most of all thank for subscribing 👍🇨🇦
Use Mobile One at the 2nd oil change on all engines, but not the first. The reason is that with all new engines, the initial oil will contain metal shavings, so use the average oil, run it for awhile with the average oil, get the engine broken in, and then use the Mobile One.
@@christschool thank for the advice much appreciated. thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing 👍
👍👍👍👍
@@adrianstefan23 thank you 😊
Why didn't you just buy a weed wacker. You are cutting grass
@@Aaron-vy1kd thanks for watching and sharing. i use the unit for making paths and maintaining them. watch some of my other videos and see how i use it. thanks again for watching and most for subscribing 👍
I ended up buying this same model after I saw your video 2 years ago. Did my first service on it right before the start of the season. It’s a lot easier to grease those spindles with the deck off and the deck is super easy to remove, just 3 quick pins and the belt comes off relatively easy too. I got 65 hrs or so on mine now so my blades got pretty beat up wasn’t too bad sharpening them either. Thank you for the video!
@@DRsFinest186 Great to hear, thanks so much for your feedback. Really appreciate you watching and subscribing.
My DR was delivered assembled, no cost. The manual recommends soaking the cord first. I had to add more cord and used the .175 blue twisted, and it was tough to get in. Mainly because the "holes" had dirt in them. Soaking the cord did it. I had to grip the cord with pliers to push it in to get started. Once I was able to grab the cord and pull, all was fine. I didn't try the Green .095 cord which might have been a tad easier. Like I said, once in the hole and you can grab, it was just fine. I love the trimmer! After not being used for from September to the end of June, it started right up. I too use non-Ethanal gas as I do for my ICE car; Ethanol damages rubber components.
wow that’s amazing. Thanks for sharing your experience, but most of all thanks for subscribing 👍
works smarter, not harder - Must have added on to your DR trimmer ua-cam.com/video/jfBg3gzzGsg/v-deo.htmlsi=YAoSgtMSGTT7fpKR
any relation to Frank capone?
no i don’t think so 🤫 thank for watching, but most of all thanks for subscribing ❤️
@@inthewoodswiththecapones well I would have subscribed if you were related to him, but I didn't.
You put the hose on backwards. The metal 45 connector is supposed to be on the bottom to protect the hose from ground damage. Watch the beginning of your video to see the proper positioning. 🤷🏻♂️
thank you for sharing , i did that so the hose didn’t have the bend in it when it in the flat position. less pressure on the hose and i don’t use the splitter upright to often 😊 thanks for watching and most important thanks for subscribing 👍
How much of that oil did he put in it ?
all of it 😎 thanks for watching must thanks for subscribing 👍
You guys rock. How do you keep it so clean? My machine has about 2.5 hours on it so far and it’s all caked in green residue even after I hose it down.
😂 thanks for watching , love the lawnmower❤️ but most of all thank for subscribing 👍👍
I appreciate you putting the work in for me! Lol I got that big box sitting in the middle of my kitchen! Now I know how to put it together! Thanks for sharing. :)
thank you for sharing and watching ❤️ but most of all for subscribing 👍😃
mine wont hold any larger than .130 line
7 cube feet not inch
thanks for watching 👍 and subscribing
They gave you oil? They made me buy mine separately. :( Did you soak your strings for 3 days in water, as recommended? I'm guessing, no. I heard a tip to soak them in boiling water for a day prior works just as well. I'm putting my trimmer together now. How long does a tank of gas last?
Lol 😜sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing 😁 But most of all thanks for subscribing 👍
i didn’t soak my string in water before using them but i’ll tell you that they work amazing
How long is the wire? 18 or 24inches?
i believe that the wire is 24 inches
@@inthewoodswiththecapones thank you. I guessed 24 and it worked great. Keep up the great videos!
I measure out the length on my bar make a mark so from the front of the power head out to the mark and measure that way saves alot of time
That’s a smart idea thank for sharing 👍 Also thanks for subscribing .
I've never needed to mark out my cuts like that you just eyeball it and go

You guys are great. I have the same machine. I hope to get it running one day. Do a video on a run down of all the under the hood components.
thank you so much ❤️ will do that. thanks again for watching and subscribing 👍
Good video
Thank you for your comment ❤️ And most of all thank you for subscribing 👍
Mine misses a lot of grass stems. Anyone else with a 140 and this problem?
No not yet the mower is working great 👍 i haven’t noticed anything . is yours missing some parts and not others? thanks for sharing , most of all thanks for subscribing ❤️

2 things: 1) you wrapped the Teflon Tape backward on both fittings. (surprised it didn't unravel) 2) always place an o-ring over the Male fitting, not into the Female fitting. (This prevents O-ring roll or displacement)
thanks for the advice I’ll remember that for the next hose i replace. thanks for watching but most thanks for subscribing 👍👍
I would have switched it over to jic fitting
will remember that for the next time
Cheap china hose. There terrible just like there fuel hose 😢

This is andrew aka andy and I'd would like to please asking you'd a question about your Ford 4500 backhoe and I'm searching for the same backhoe as yours and I'm unable to finding the right sized backhoe for our property. So anyways could you'd please seeing if you're able to please sending me the serial number of your backhoe and the year of it.
hey Andy the year is a 1975 but the serial number i don’t know sorry
Just picked up this model off the curb someone was dumping. I’ll see if I can get it running

Very useful insights, thanks for sharing. One thing I would like to suggest is serious eye protection when using, especially around structures and walls which can cause ricochets. I hit a loose stone about the size of a quarter and it flew 200 feet like a bullet and hit my neighbors' front steps on a line drive, 3' from the ground.
thank you for the safety tip i really appreciate it ❤️. thanks for watching and commenting on my post, but most of all thanks for subscribing 👍
I want to get a Gondair, how can I buy it?

Love the machine. Now about 6 mo. old. Keep it regularly maintained. From day 1 I've had the issue of the tires going flat, at three of the four.
Thanks for sharing and watching 👍 But must of all of all thanks for subscribing ❤️
Just bought one. I'll need new rear tires soon. Haven't figured how to flip the seat back yet. Way to hot now.
thanks for watching 👍 there is small pin leaver under the front seat most of all thanks for subscribing ❤️
Did you soak the cord in water for three days? Did you read the instructions?
