yes its very much possible, the main sample slot sounds can be played like a keyboard and also have a sample pitch parameter, this can pretty much do what most samplers can do except it works with pretty limited memory, its one of my favorite samplers

👊ableton you've got to have a decent usb to midi interface, I have an maudio midiman its perfect ive used a cheap one and there was lag, just something to look out for if you didn't know

@@Basementshaker thats a great choice all of the old 80s and 90s akai samplers are some of the best samplers to use, user interface can feel tedious but sound quality is amazing

if you can get a dsi used id say its worth it, its a fun workflow

I'm taking music production classes and have been learning Ableton, while also essentially applying everything I learn back to my 3Ds music. At this point I have made over 3 hours of music with my 3Ds, and while I am indeed in the process of moving on and making music with Ableton, we were given the opportunity to present music to the showcase as our final, and I'm using the opportunity to essentially fully perfect a 3Ds piece and present it as a representation of everything I've learned so far, applied back to where it all began for me. So far it's coming together very well.

great question, so the great thing about music tr4ckers is that they are interchangeably able to use the same project file types. nitro tr4cker creates .xm files and luckily these can be played back and saved on various other music tr4ckers made for modern computers. Conveniently these files contain all data needed to play projects back how they were initially made. Sometimes there is compatibility issues even though they are the same file type. .xm files contain audio samples, project parameters, midi sequences things like this.

@@lafoudrepasslafoudrepass5238 oh nice, thats pretty cool! i wish the KORG M01D app on the 3DS had something similar, instead it can only export as MIDI which is annoying and usually I just end up recording the song from my console into audacity. The original M01 soundfont is kinda locked behind a paywall and even then it doesnt replicate all of the sounds perfectly. have you ever played with the M01D? its pretty fun, albeit quite different from a tracker like this one. i’d be interested to see what you could come up with on it lol

@@coiffureclips8148 I didn't know that thats pretty cool if I would have known that I would have bought m01d back when the eshop was open, would have tried to use it in my workflow. I sampled the drum machines in the ds version though I thought they were awesome :)

I think I should have mentioned that I just used the visualizer of this not the actual music making portion of the software, I loaded up a cd of my own music, I don't want to misinform, but its definitely capable of making great techno, I even put the amen break through it and it sounded great

That is not a bad idea. I like that idea. I've thought about this. it would be interesting to hear jungle remixes of old cell phone jingles or even some 8bit nes music. I don't think just cell phones but other popular sounds from different types of old tech, its a good idea
