Long Cross Country In a Cessna 150!!!
Building hours in my Cessna 150. Took off from Frankfort, KY and went to Southern Indiana and looped around Louisville and came home. Had an absolute blast and a learning experience as always.

This is my cessna 150. On this day I was just working on consistency. takeoffs over the runway, constant pattern attitudes, etc.

This is my new to me 1972 Cessna 150L. I'm working on my private pilot's license and this will help me build hours. I'm currently training towards my PPL Checkride that is in three weeks. On this day I just brushed up on traffic pattern consistency while getting used to this new aircraft.

I did three touch n go when I soloed
Touch n go
Congrats! I bought me a 1969 C150J last May. Paid 30k then spent another 30k to get things fixed up and upgrade the avionics to make it IFR capable. I plan to get a ton of hrs in it to get to 1500 hrs. Looks like I will have it by January 2025. Lots of hours in it. 150 is awesome time builder but I wish the fuel tanks were bigger. ha
Nice! Keep chugging away I’m still at the 500 hr mark but hopefully we’ll cross paths in the big leagues one day!
Hi there, I'm curious about the procedure you performed at 28:37 . Can you explain what it is and why it's done? Thanks!
I believe that is the procedure for a “short field take off”. By going full power while stationary and holding the brakes, you get the propellor to max static RPM before starting your roll, so you make as much power on as much as the runway length as possible.
Look lt stop trying to give them tips your ruining there experience army aviation leads the way
I would agree with you if I didn’t speak with the commander of the school like 4 hours prior to posting this. #flyarmy
P R O M O S M 🤣
It takes a fraction of a second to move your hand from yoke to throttle. Nice work
Touching goes
Always keep your right hand on the throttle...
Flat earth
Your in an EC 145!
I would strongly encourage you to maintain full throttle control all the way through executing a successful landing. Hopefully you will never be in a situation where fractions of a second make the difference but the time it take to bring you hand to the throttle from the yoke and apply power can be the difference between success and failure. Not critiquing just encouraging.
only one hand on the yolk
Do they still make 150 s? You said new just curious
Congrats!!! Mind if I ask what you paid?
Are you sure the engine is Lycoming O-235 it’s doesn’t sound right !
Who let you solo with both your hands on the yoke?
The 150 is good but the 152 is better those extra 10 or 15 horsepower make an enormous difference to the personality of the airplane i I heard that before I flew it.
When I took flying lessons I flew a Cessna 150 oh, I sure wish I could go up with you
Looks like fun!!
Hand has to be on the throttle, never know when a go-around is needed
And get rid of that old boat anchor of a radio!
Are they making new navcoms with a 50yr old retro look?
Need more practice!
I want to become a Pilot
"New" Cessna 150. Lol dude is flying a 50 year old tub of rivets.
yup. dude is flying a real plane that he owns, you're apparently a full grown man who plays with toy planes, and yet here you are trying to talk smack 😂
@@TireSlayer55 My toys that I own cost more than his real plane. What's your point jack wagon. Money is relative to what you spend it on? Try again.
I took my hand off the throttle on my Private Pilot ck ride at 200ft , after take off at night going over water off the end of the airport. My examiner pulled the throttle to idle...that will really get your attention when it's completely black outside.
I’ve never seen a pilot take his hand off the throttle during that phase before 😳. Congratulations on the new plane !
Smooth 🧈
Nice, I have a 150/150 aerobat, awesome little planes !!!!
Right hand on THROTTLE.
Margarine free landing no doubt. But next time, keep your hand on the flipping throttle please
Sounds like a big bug flying around in there
Nice little crosswind
I got the. Toast for all that butter
Why is there a mirror on the instrument panel?
If you find out let me know 😂
Too much float!
Man that thing is over thirty years old 😂 nothing "new" about it 🤦
Lol not with 2 hands
Okay, okay, he got it--hand, throttle. How 'bout nice way to straighten out of the crab at the last moment...👍
Good job. I need to be studying my man
Right rudder. Right rudder right rudder. Oh. Ya and hand on throttle lol.
KEDN?
Yup!
Nice landing...
sweet landing man
Very nice
I used to always sing with my helmet on when I was ripping around on motorcycles with my buddies. We felt like we owned the road and looked badass, if they only knew I was singing Shania Twain
dam fine machine, and yes on the throttle.
FlightSim has gotten so realistic now .
New?
Brand spanking new😂. New car smell and all
