Soul Volume is a character-action-RPG created using Unreal Engine 5. A brief gameplay demonstration meant as a submission for MAGFest 2024. Showcases the fast-paced character-action combat inspired by series such as Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts. Music done by Samantha Anderson.

Absolutely! Looking to at least have a Steam page up by the end of next year.
I think the biggest thing you should keep in mind when developing this game is that it needs to be optimized and run smooth, it's crazy how many projects die because of that alone I eagerly await more news on this game, it looks really sick
Appreciate it! Currently, I get ~70fps, but I'm running a 3080ti. From testing on different hardware, cards around the 1080ti range get smooth 60fps, but starts to dip to between 30-60 on cards lower than that. We've still got a long way to go in terms of optimization, but I think it's in a pretty good spot at the moment. UE5 can be pretty tricky about it.
Game looks great, if you plan to release it for sale I recommend double checking Nintendo’s patents to make sure you aren’t stepping on any toes. They will show no mercy. Mainly I would check if they patented the glider but any other mechanics you borrowed from their games I would check on as well.

As a solo dev, I cannot even imagine how you started something this big out of high school and somehow have something awesome which follows inspiration from your favourite games and not an unmaintainable mess. Hats off and true respect.

probably take some compositing lessons cuz none of the assets fit with the rest, assuming the project is near its completion also the artifacting on the hair looks very distracting best of luck
A lot of assets are still placeholder. I'd say the game is only around 25% complete.
