I don't have any plans to play a hybrid character, at least not for now. I am going to play through all games with the three base classes, and the secret Paladin class. That alone is going to take some time.

Even though pills can be imported into QFG3 with your character (except for Stamina pills), I have never really needed many pills in QFG3 as I find it to be a fairly easy game. So because of that I never really think much about it. It is only the Wizard character that tries to get as many Mana pills as possible for QFG3 to help with practicing spellcasting. If Stamina pills could be imported to QFG3, then I would get a lot of them.

There are no places to train climbing any further in QFG2. The unofficial VGA remake did add the option to train climbing at the tree in the oasis, but for the original EGA version you simply can't train it.

I played this when it first came out, and it feels just as awesome playing it now as it did back then.

I think that only applies to the unofficial VGA version, because the money changer in the EGA version will not exchange centimes to dinars.

I agree, most of my favorite games are from this era.

That one is my favorite of the two ways you can lose the game here, always makes me laugh.

I agree. Many games from this era has very good gameplay that modern games seem to lack, and a unique atmosphere that is difficult to find these days.

I used to play this game A LOT when it was brand new on PC. The thing to know is that at 0:30 when the Chapter Master speaks and his mouth moves, on original hardware the mouth would move very very slowly, and it looked very realistic for the time. The version I had did not have those CGI cutscenes at the start of each mission though showing the Terminatrors deploying.

I could probably get the speaking animation more accurate if I played around with emulation settings, but since everything else works fine I have not bothered. The game was released on both floppy disk and CD. The CD version has these extra animated sequences, as well as some exclusive "New Missions" which are very difficult. I played through them as well and have videos of them all. I also originally played this when it was new, but I played it on the Amiga.

I know what you mean. I didn't look like that when playing on hardware from the early 90's, but emulating it now makes that animation play way too fast.

I suppose I left behind quite a lot of rocks there. Probably not a very honorable thing to do. Good thing this is not a paladin playthrough. It would be funny if this could disqualify you.
