Does anyone know what breed of horse he is riding?
Considering the show was filmed in Spain, I'd say an Andalusian or other Spanish breed was used. Eli's horse seems to very deliberately resemble the horse, Spirit, from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. The inspiration for Spirit came from a Kiger mustang, and Kiger mustangs have strong Spanish lines in their genetics. So, I think it's fair to say that Eli's horse is intended to be a Kiger mustang. Hope this helps!
