I just love how she isn’t treated like a femboy or something like that, and it’s not presented as a ‘cliche’. It’s treated as a “this is who she is” and everyone accepts that! It’s not a big deal in their undead minds, and they just go on. It’s just so great to see trans representation like that in especially anime. Just made me smile beyond belief

After doing further research, it appears that I may have been mistaken at 1:31. The shiny odds might ACTUALLY be 1/683, not 1/512. The reason I used the latter in the video, is because it was the more frequent answer I saw online. However, it’s always conflicting between those two answers /: So just in case, I’m making this comment! This would actually make the total odds 1/43,712!! By the way, I want to mention that I am aware that 5:56 - 6:32 is a very, very dull part of the video lol… I just had no idea what footage to put there ;~;

Something else interesting to add to my Spyro collection. I didn't know about these intros/outros. The game definitely works better without them, but I can't help but feel we lost a lot of context for why these worlds were in disarray due to Ripto. I'm considering all of this canon even if it never made it into the game proper.

I always felt that there was something missing in these scenes. Because you just visit the level and get the story, and get no explanation of what's exactly going on.

Omg we actually get the story to the game lol! 😆 Plus more elora is always a bonus! 🥰 Also it's crazy how games back then could pack so much story and dialogue into a year of dev time compared to today, definitely the best time for good quality games 😅

Wow, I didn't know these existed until now. Awesome! As much as the cutscenes have a charm of their own with their minimal audio, I think Elora's explanations really benefit the game. For one, it would mean having more of her in the game, which is always a plus! Having the context of Ripto being the one who sent all of the peace disrupters ties together why Ripto is such a big threat, while in the final version of Spyro 2 we got, it could just as easily be disconnected world disputes. I also really like the added detail of Elora mentioning family in Fracture Hills! I think it's interesting she didn't mention any family in Magma Cone. She's probably highkey grateful that those fauns won't be kicking her family members into lava, LOL. It's a shame they didn't add these voice clips into ReIgnited. Toys for Bob absolutely made a faithful remake through and through and they did great things with it! But it would've benefitted from having Elora's lines present, or at least an option to toggle them on/off as a way of including them without altering what fans have come to expect too drastically. Thanks for sharing these! 😁

I watched the English dub, and I had no idea that was the case with Lily. I just thought she did one of those things people in showbizz did where they would change their names to sound cooler like Stan Lee, Jim Carrey, Jonah Hill, etc. I didn't really understand what the big deal was about 😂

now that we know they can alter move animations like what they recently did with shiny dipplin and syrup bomb i really hope they give blacephalon the same treatment if it ever comes back in the future

Hopefully spyro 4 could touch up on some of these cuts, they do add depth. The fact ripto built factories on the coral creating devistation for the sea life and as a kid didnt realize how out of place it was would make being able to restore it back to its glory would be alot more satisfying...almost feels like they didnt get a happy ending.

Much as I enjoy extra lore, I’m glad they scrapped these. It makes the animations less funny and effective. It’s too cluttered with the voiceover, and I was always proud of myself when I figured this stuff out on my own. They should have incorporated the lore into NPC level dialogue or the guidebook.

I don't get why people were surprised this character or any character like it turns out to be transgender. They dress in the girls uniform to go to school in Japan. Granted it will be a Japan that differs from the real world in one way or the other. There's real magic or it's the future, or whatever. To wear the uniform of the opposite biology in that culture would take all kinds of permission that would not be easy to get. That alone favors them being trans. One just does not wear a different uniform to school that easily. (I know when I was 7 I wanted to do that.)
