he def could do 3 in super he just saw from goku it wasted so much ki it wasn't really worth using so once he got god ki there was literally no reason to use ss3 cause it's just weaker and drains more stamina

He’s always known how to do it. It was never beneficial for him to do it, since he could power up SSJ2 to beyond the power of a SSJ3

Maintaining SS3 in a child body being difficult is something that GT came up with and isn't a thing in the daima/super timeline as far as we know. I mean if Gotenks can do it why not Vegeta and Goku. They could possibly introduce that rule later in this series but so far it doesn't seem to be an issue.

He could turn super Saiyan 3 he just chooses not to because of the power drainage. Super Saiyan 2 is actually his best form because it's well-balanced. May not be as powerful as 3 but at least it doesn't drain his power so much.

Daima take place before Super and Vegeta is able to be Ssj3 .It' just that he know it take a lot of energy and just staying Ssj2 is more efficient .Why do you think Goku rarely use that form ?
