Being able to perform the suites for solo cello is a great privilege, but also an opportunity for expression based on the knowledge of the Baroque musical style, improvisation, composition, ornamentation, but above all dance. These compositions are truly a monument in the literature for this instrument. Each moment of presentation of this work is a demonstration of the very stopping of time, presenting the moment in which I find myself as a cellist, and as a human being on an emotional level. The clash with the musical text, which is almost utopian, becomes a kind of a mirror of the emotionality of the composer and the performer. The search for a balance between courtesy and nobility with folk rhythms becomes one of the main questions of interpretation. Playing of the ancestor of the cello: la basse de violon, inspired me to search for a new sound on the baroque cello as well as a great melodic line. The breath of the right hand lead me in the formation of the musical gesture. My decision to present this suite was connected with a desire to express myself and tell something important to the world.
