❤️
Fred: “yo I got this song about how my girlfriend fucked everyone but me, but I don’t care about it cuz I was just trying to fuck her too” Wes: “lol here’s an awesome take on the Power Rangers theme with a tenor guitar”
Shout-out to the mix being the bare minimum of "we can hear everything" that 2/3 of any live footage can't seem to get lol
first song i ever heard of them ❤️
Not a huge Limp Bizkit fan but Wes Borland is truly a fantastic guitarist
I truly do not think Wes Borland gets nearly enough love. All of Limp Bizkit's albums (instrumentally) are unreal! Especially for the time they were recorded. Fred Durst (though I love him) I can see why others may be turned off to their music. But shhyyyttttttt!!! 🙌🏼
Wes and Tom morello helped me think outside the box as a musician
To me, this is still the best Meshuggah live song, and it's my go-to song to show people who dont know who meshuggah is. I feel like this encapsulates so much. In one big package.🤘 Then I show them the new songs.
Era guitarra??? Toda mi vida creí q era un bajo. Debí haber parecido un idiota
This is not Jens
The original pioneers of djent
you're literally the best thing to ever happen to this world
Primus
These parts like 2:04 with a low drone sound on one of the strings remind me of "Don't Remember"
Wes Boring
He’s better than most of guitar playera you listen to
Fuckin total genius.
What guitar is it in this picture?
Sorry this is a bit late but it's an Ibanez Musician MC150PW
I could listen to him for hours.
To me this has always seemed just to be played backwards. So awesome riff! So awesome song!! 🤘
never thought of it this way but you're right
Bassist
Malade !!
The pre chorus riff reminds of being pulled up the first drop of a roller coaster. The rickety drone sound is incredible.
Universal Studios had a roller coaster that you could play Rollin while riding a few years ago. It was pretty dope the timing was really good
I love this
such a dumb corny riff
The beginning sounds like a primus song lmao
Does anyone know what type of guitar this is? And the tuning?
He was playing wierd guitars with wierd tunings at the time. 6, 7 and 4 string guitars. I believe this was written on a 4 string with a crazy tuning.
C standart with low string tuned to F#
this one specifically is a custom made 4 string guitar. In live settings he plays a 7 string Ibanez
not bad
Where did you even find this treasure!?!?!❤❤
I actually never even thought how the guitar sounds like some insane 80s experimental art-rock stuff. Like a more listenable Arto Lindsay😅
Seen them play a rooftop show in Chicago when they were working on the video ideas for Nookie.
Meh… Feels kind of like the rest of the band made this a “song”…
Yeah... Yeah.. Yeah.. Yeah..
This song has great riffage.
3:25 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
Excellent touch including Wes playing his original customized Ibanez Musician that he tracked this song with in the video.
It’s really interesting how big of a difference two kicks makes…and you don’t fully realize it til you hear them in solo like this. They’re *probably* panned dead center per usual practice…but the overheads still pick up this killer stereo image. Minor tuning variations make it cool, yes…but that little stereo wiggle is just 🤤
If only i had knew of Meshuggah when i was in high school!
Had knew? 😅
This guy was wasted on such a lame band. Creed had a great guitarist too...
Listening to this record you can see how much Jon Theodore’s parts on deloused by the mars Volta was influenced by Tomas
Wes es Limp Bizkit Wes es Nu Metal
Wes is a monster yes. But can we take a second to appreciate the fact that Fred was actually capable of coming up with a vocal melody to this?
I’m tired of pretending Limp Bizkit isn’t a good band.
I would assume that this was done the other way around. Beat and Lyrics first and then bass + guitar.
@@oldworldpatriot8920 Fantastic band, mediocre meh vocalist who has a great stage presence.
Daria always comes in with facts@@claudiasolomon1123
This sounds like shit but in a completely different way than the entire song does 🤔
I was trying to find the words on how to state this was $hit and you summarized it pretty well.
I’d love to hear Sam Rivers isolated bass from this track. The guitar and bass in Bizkit complement each other incredibly.
Seriously! I was driving and listening just earlier today and blurted out to myself _"they're talking"_ hahaha
I love how the solution to people jumping on stage is just a mandatory stage dive. The band moved around and headbanged so much more then. Most of them are old enough to be my dads, so i undsrstand their stoic stage presence now (and like it just as much)
I think their old enough to be considered grandparents atp 😂
4:38 THOSE SCREAMS
1:31 'I'll be the brightest someday!
1:20 1:26
You like the stars i stole for you~
And the last chorus riff that starts at 3:38. Wes really play that one to a T. He plays that chorus riff so much more clean than the opening riff, 1st and 2nd chorus. Or at least it sounds that way. That's freaking awesome. Gotta enjoy the little things.
During the bridge section is when you can really tell how he has both the low strings tuned to F#.
The bridge section on this song for guitar is really good actually. After listening to this whole thing, it's very surprising that Limp Bizkit never plays this song all the way through when they perform it live. It seems they always stop after the 2nd chorus, and then will go into a different song.
Yeh makes even less sense when that second song is Break Stuff, which they play again in full later in the set.
Saw them live recently and they didn't play the intro / opening riff either - just straight into the verse. Really disappointing for me personally. Maybe they're just really sick of the song
