Straight edge alternative-pop project Getaway Stranger was originally a graphic design project started in early 2023 by at the time nineteen year old Calvin Squire. As an attempt to break free from feelings of isolation and personal struggles, he began to share his story starting with his 'Solstice' EP released in early 2024. Though common themes of heartbreak, loneliness, and trauma are often discussed- An optimistic undertone is still found within the music. He hopes one day the music will serve as a light for others who are seeking the same hope.

'TRENT CRIMM'
Started this one around the end of 2023 and didn't finish it until Christmas day, 2024. 'TRENT CRIMM' was originally started when I was fresh out of a breakup and most of the vocals are the original ones recorded from around that time when everything was still fresh. Ted Lasso was one of the first shows I binged after that breakup so I thought it'd be fun to throw a little nod to the show in the song.
