Workflow for training machine learning models for chemical data
Переглядів 4762 роки тому
Here we set the workflow for training ML models for solving analytical chemistry problems. We read in the data, clean and pre-process the data, split data for training and validation, train a simple multilinear regression model with backward selection, and finally evaluate the performance of this model. The dataset comes from Cao et al. (DOI 10.1007/s11306-014-0727-x)

    In effect of pH case at pH=5.0 there is almost equal concentration of benzoic acid and benzoic ion so why we didn't getting two peaks Plzzzzz ans

    • @anneliscienceblog2562
      @anneliscienceblog2562 2 роки тому

      Very good question! The reason is that the equilibrium between neutral form and anion is very-very fast in comparison to separation time. So each benzoic acid molecule will be about half of the time as neutral molecule and about half of the time as an anion. When the molecule is in the neutral form it will move slower but when it is anion it will move faster through the column. Therefore, it will show a retention behavior that is an average of the behavior of purely neutral form and purely anionic form.
