I'm 2 years late to watch but found it encouraging and comforting as a Black woman in higher education engaging in soul work (research) with Black female students of school age. Thank you.
Why isn't there a class in Critical Hetero Studies. Why is heteronormativity accepted?
I was hoping to learn what "black feminist epistemology" is but i dont think this question was answered. Maybe the title should be adjusted to indicate that this video is about the authors of the book, not about the definition of the term.

The new double speak. I'm falling asleep. As the people talk of nothing and have no real answers, only feelings and empty ideas without action. Talk is cheap and somehow these people get paid to have verbal diharea. Nananananan

The numbers will never be as accurate as the social facts. It's well known how terrible people have been treated, and no defense could ever convince me otherwise.
Amazing
Great insights...thank you!
This episode came along at the perfect time as helps me illustrate the role of our Chief of Staff.
Great episode! Thank you Claire and Jose for your energy, mentorship, and leadership in our field.
"Boooooo white people!"
Thanks for the insights here. The conspicuous absence of, and degradation any kind of true virtue, coupled with the obvious intentionality of the normalization of perversion and devaluation of humanity, from this Cheshire Cat charlatan, is a simple and transparent example of Evil.
Having attended SJTI, I don’t recommend this experience. People are not held in a brave space to grow and not perpetrate harm. They hold an unfacilitated group discussion around race for Asians - holding an assumption that Asians don’t need to have facilitation in such a discussion. That allows harm to occur in ways that are antithetical to healing and allows people to engage in revenge and punishment behaviors.
I went to high school with Edgar Montero. I am so proud of him for everything he accomplished despite the restrictions of incarceration. If you see this Edgar, please reach out to me.
What a great conversation! I appreciated the desire of both guests and the host to involve those being served in the process of creating plans. The willingness to take a new approach was also good to hear.
To be honest someone did make a good point online that the movie cover the basis of feminism and it does not even go that deep with it. It is more of a humanist film of self-discovery. Especially with Ken and Barbie.
This is just what I needed. 🙏
Thank you! I appreciate the authenticity of your discussion. Much to learn, do, research, and teach.
