No better way to prove or DISPROVE seasonal pattern THEORIES than FFS. All of this type talk is stereotypical nonsense that everyone regurgitates. FFS is boots on the ground, visual proof or in many cases DISPROOF of all that old crap!

Bass behavior is the key. People are lazy and want a magic lure….which is why they likely do better in a video.

Tuned in to anything regarding patterns/weather/water/cycles that you have to offer, Randy. I don't have more than a few more years to get it done. Just one year I'd like to load the boat (catch & release) with fish multiple times and develop consistency in a positive way.

bass behavior is exactly what i am thinking about lately. My plan for late winter early spring here in Lake county Illinois is drop shots and crank baits.

That is an awesome story about the Top 150 tournament on Guntersville! If anyone has trouble finding 1 0z rattle baits they can always be found with a wide variety of different makers on the musky fishing bait stores/sites. Helen & Rollies and Thorne Brothers are two of the oldest dealers I've used.

The moon is the major factor in tide movement. Day in day out, the major feeding time is where you need to be on the biggest concentration of fish. It ain't rocket science.

Moon phases are a huge deal for musky fishing, but i never noticed it affecting bass. When it comes to musky fishing, moon phases play such an important role, that it is difference between not getting a single bite/follow all day and catching the fire out of them during that one hour of a moon phase.

The moon phase is more important in the saltwater.

Back in my younger days a Jitterbug on full moon @ night 👍. In my tournament days a full moon on tournament day especially when it was up during the day almost was a guaranteed payday

But I’ve fished tidal since I was 4-5 years old , here on every Friday in the Times Picayune paper we would get the tides of every place here Delacroix , Venice , Buras , Pointa La hache , All around Lake Pontchatrain , mom and dad had that paper delivered every day and Friday before school , Dad and I would look at the reports and figure out where we should Go the next day , but now Papers lost out to the internet , now I check Tide For Fishing to see what the tide is doing and the major and minor feeding periods , it worked well and it still does for me here

For here cause of tidal Moon does , I agree with u and not as much in man made reservoirs and lakes where there is no tide ! We have a minor and major feeding period due to the tide cause of the moon , the moon dictates the tides for here , loved the video

Thanks Randy, been trying to apply what I learned about the moon from decades of saltwater fishing and tried translate it to freshwater. I fish tidal river systems and the only thing that I've seen the moon phase affect in freshwater is with prey species like panfish. A bass could potentially key in on them during their spawn but it's for so little time that there's not really a pattern you could develop IMHO To your point always, weather, wind and water clarity are way stronger factors affecting bass behavior!

I think that there might be something in regards to bass fishing a few days before and/or after a full moon. Not sure about a new moon, but you're right, probably not worth thinking about it. Just fish.

I crappie fish at night, with water lights, and the smaller the moon- the better the bite

Thanks for the info , mine here can be March depending on our weather if it warms up sooner it’s earlier like in February, I’ve caught em so good really from December all the way till March , but I can remember once they laid you would see fry jumping out the water in front of the spinnerbait , fishing shallow cover , I love the big spinnerbait until the grass gets too heavy for it on the banks then I go to my Texas rigs dropping it in the grass holes , Senko , worm , baby brush hog , thanks for the info Mr Randy

Can you give us the Tackle Warehouse link or the name for that big spinnerbait that will handle the #6 willow leaf blade? I don't want to buy just any spinnerbait then find out it can't handle that sized blade. I've done lots of looking but not finding one that looks right. Also, what size is the smaller willow leaf blade?

You need more videos on fishing grass. Most of the content you put out revolves around Ozark lakes fishing. Highland reservoirs. The very best lakes in this country have grass and the fish relate to it. Of you don't know how to fish grass you can not be a good angler anywhere outside of highland reservoirs

I have lots of weeds and pads in the PNW. Frogs and flipping jigs are my favorite.
