Read the history as she didnt sure Even the tiny coptic scripture on the temples is history from the Christian ages . How could any one believe that they stole the huge stones or the ceiling 😂 on small boats on the river 😂😂 I just could not believe that this woman is belong to the ministry of tourism . It's great that you were aware of the unfair treatment of animals by the pyramids. Animal rescue initiatives would be quick to add (street dogs to the list that already have donkeys, horses and camels). However, fair warning even if something is partnered with the government this side, you should take it with a pinch of salt. The government is not animal centered, I say this from a research stand point and not just as an expat who has lived here for 8 years. It's not to discredit the government, they have tried to appease the animal activists. The situation regarding animals at the pyramids is messy, as many try to make ends meat in a dire economy, short cuts are taken and at the cost of the animals' lives. As fun as it is to ride horses and camels, especially at an iconic site, it is wiser to avoid the task and pay the camel owner for a lower few pictures and to feed the camel or horses. This way the animal has a chance to rest and be cared for, and your money is still going towards his livelihood. Nothing wrong with money spent on a kind deed and not just a tourist's wish. ESMA and other animals groups work really hard ensuring the animals have food, and medical checks in this area- but again there are just too many tourists asking for the same thing and too many Egyptians ready to allow it. Remember, they're animals and not a novelty.

I did this trip in 2022 and Paros boat trip was the best one because everyone was relaxed and swim and dance on the boat to music and the crew cooking us lunch. The cliff job was scary but once in a lifetime experience so everyone did it.
