Traveling the world. Before I reserve or book a room or suite, I want to see what they actually look like. I will try to document the different accommodations that my husband and I stay in during our trips whether by land or by sea without opinions or reviews since everyone's expectations, preferences and needs are different.

Nice im going there in a few days
hii! next year im going on the same cruise and got the exact same cabin! do you remember if the sofa turned into a bunk bed or a king?
It is sofa bed I believe. I did not use it. Surely it is not a King. Possible a queen/full.
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123thank you so much 😊
Nice video. I love the Haven and the aft cabins in and out of the Haven are always the best.
Yes they are! Thank you for viewing!
❤
hi thanks for sharing! do you think it would be better to have a signature vs. deluxe? i can't tell which is better the lagoon vs. the "rainforest". if you remember! :)
Going to be honest I don’t remember. This location would have better post renovation. Room itself was amazing and convenient to most places.
Great video - very useful as my wife and I planning a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth in 2025 and are in the process of selecting a Queens Grill Penthouse suite. I notice that the deck plan for Deck 7 seems to indicate that there are no rooms directly opposite the Penthouses in the mid-aft section (ie where 7082 is) whereas some of the rooms in the Penthouse suites in the mid-forward section of deck 7 have internal cabins opposite. Can you recall if that was the case as I'm not sure how accurate the plan is? We are concerned about noise from other rooms, so if there was nothing across from the penthouses in the mid-aft section, that would useful to know. Many thanks for any advice.
We did not have any issues with noise. There was nothing in the hallway except doors to suites.
makes note to myself as i am watching this. must start playing the lotto
I've never been to Detroit. Would you take a trip there just to get away? How about winter months?
We went there for a hockey game and did not really explore much else.
Thanks for sharing! We'll be in D631 (also a mini suite) in just three weeks. Cannot wait.
Have fun!
Thank you. We had a nearly identical suite in June. Ours was in reverse configuration. Some people don't like these suites, but they are now our favourite. We certainly do not always travel in the Grills, but this was our best Grills experience - even better than both PG and QG on the QM2. One of the best things we liked about the Q4s is the division between the sleeping and sitting areas. The heavy curtain was handy when my wife took a frequent afternoon nap. I had complete access to the sitting area of the suite, the bathroom, the bar area and the balcony. We also liked the division between the whirlpool bath and separate shower stall and the sink and toilet. The Q4s on the QM2 are much larger but the fare difference between the cheaper QG suites and the Q4s is huge on that ship. On the QE and QV the fare difference is modest - likely because the Q4s, 5s & 6s are roughly the same square footage, just different configuration and location.
Thank you all of that information. We too enjoyed our QG experience!
Thanks for the video. We'll be in D304 in a few weeks on our first Princess cruise. Looking forward to it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Now that is a lovely Owners Suite. So happy you took the time to share. I hope you had a lovely time and I really appreciate the time you tool. I will be on the Riviera in 60 days in a Vista Suite. I will attempt to pay it forward as you did. Thank you again.
We did stay in a Vista in Oceania Marina. It’s in my video set of you want a look. Suite 12001. Very nice room as well. You will enjoy!
How r u?. useful ! take care,Traveling! ✨
Thank you!
So, where’s the spa? Why is this a better choice than a regular Penthouse suite on Deck 11?
Better is always subjective. The Spa suites are across the back of the ship with aft facing balconies. There is a private stair to the Spa suites in the spa from Deck 10 to 11. You have access to the spa areas as well as special spa type amenities in the suite. The hallway for the spa suites has only the spa suites thus it is quieter in the hallway.
Thanks for the video! Is this pre or post renovation? Would you recommend this room type or another? Since it's such a big resort trying to figure best area to book for most convenience and ease to restaurants and beach.
They were renovating the resort while we were there. Room was really nice. Could not walk to the beach during renovations. Location would have been really good without the forced cart ride to beach but assuming it’s over now and for us would have been very walkable.
Did you guys like the owners suite? Is their enough privacy from the above bridge?
We did love the room itself. Two negatives about a forward suite…. They tie up (secure) all your deck furniture when underway. And yes, bridge can see down on you. If this is not a deal breaker it’s an amazing suite.
Very pleasing showcase of the suite. Gives one a very good feel for the space, layout and amenities. Thank you for letting the accommodation speak for itself instead of including commentary and voiceovers. Much more pleasant to watch than most. Hope your weather improved!
I cant believe i find this video of you Mr Mrs S, i was one of your steward there in 1009 I still remember when we watch pink dolphins playing 🤣🤣
We so enjoyed our trip! You guys were fantastic! Hope to see you again on Regent someday!
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123 Pleasure! we glad that you enjoy our services, and we do hope so that we will see each other again one day 😆
'Promo sm' 👏
Thanks for posting. We'll be going on the Navigator in April (14-days, deep south Caribbeans) - so, we've done our homework. Partially to answer the question @carenthusiast4977 posted, would like to point out a few things: A) Room size of the penthouse suites in the RSSC fleet depends on the ship; while on the Marina, for instance, Penthouse suites are almost 50% larger than Concierge/Verandah (449 v. 301 sf), on the Navigator, they are all the same size (356) on Navigator from Penthouse A all the way to the lowest-priced verandah. B) RSCC clearly lists the different amenities on their website (so, you might want to explore): among them, the provision of a butler in Penthouse categories A through C, and the ladies' (literally) amenities of the Guerlain brand that are only available in Penthouse and Concierge. C) As OP pointed out, whether something is 'worth it' is a personal preference, but know that price is a function of supply and demand - if there aren't very people booking Penthouse cabins on a given cruise, the price is going to come down, if not on the official RSSC site, then possibly through a TA or other online travel outlets. Cheers!
Did you sail out of New Orleans? if so, was there a separate Haven entrance before security? Or do we go through security with the "general population?"
We did go out of NO. And it was one security line. The Haven split was after security. Not ideal but reality in NO.
Was the price worth it? Thinking of booking on Regent and wondering how they compare to others
We enjoyed the benefits of the penthouse however the question of worth is obviously a very individual decision. Regent does a spectacular job with service at all levels so even without the extra perks of penthouse the experience is great. There is less of a difference between penthouse and suites below on Regent than say between Haven and not Haven on NCL.
To further answer your question - of whether RSSC is 'worth it', in general - keep in mind that there really are no extra charges whatsoever: everything is included. But of course the price reflects that. So for someone who doesn't care that much about food (specialty dining does not cost extra on RSS cruises), doesn't drink (or drink much - all alcohol, up to champagnes and some fine wines, but excluding some very special wines like a first growth Bordeaux or an XO cognac), doesn't go on excursions, doesn't use wifi ... you may want to consider a less expensive alternative. Even Seabourn (they don't include excursions) and Oceania (excursions, wifi, and drinks are not included) don't come close. Only Silversea is comparable. Silversea's advantage is in offering caviar any time, any day (while RSSC is only one day) and a butler for every cabin, but RSSC offers no extra charge for specialty dining (there are a couple of venues on SS cruises that cost extra) and unlimited excursions, which COULD come in handy in theory (long day in a certain port, do one in the morning, another in the afternoon) - Silversea is one excursion per port.
Karin and Bob, your penthouse suite is just like the one I always book, an E veranda suite. I don’t get the butler, amenities box with the cute bear, daily appetizers or the Guerlain products. Love my deck 6 suite!
@@bethp514 I do think they are all the same size.
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123 Yes, they are.
yes, this looks like a premium balcony room but with the Yacht Club amenities. Maybe a larger balcony. Hmmm. Now we have to make a decision whether to upgrade or not.
The amenities are a big part of the reason to book in the yacht club. And there are many perks. Everyone of course has to evaluate whether it’s worth it.
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123 we booked it! This will be our 4th MSC cruise, we are diamond and princess elite.
Hello, great video, place looks great. We might be staying there soon. how long did it take you to walk to the beach from the restaurant/main lobby? Any negatives from the construction? Thanks
Yes, construction was kind of a pain. Not sure of completion date but getting to the beach was only possible by cart and sometimes wait to get back from beach was long. Very nice beach though.
Thank you for the tour. We are going on the Epic in a similar room and are very excited about it. Knowing about the layout and how much storage is a great help!!
Glad it was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions and enjoy your trip!
I am going to be disappointed if our Divina Nov 4th cruise is a balcony cabin renamed as a Suite in the Yacht Club. I always thought a Suite meant the bedroom is separate, thats what I get for thinking I guess. 3rd MSC cruise upcoming (Meraviglia, Seashore b2b) first time in YC. Would you book YC again on MSC? Thanks for the room preview
Yes absolutely would book again. “Suites” on ships are not necessarily two rooms agreed. The privileges of YC more than make up for room size. You aren’t in the room much.
I love the embassy so much. what was the cost of this room?
Obviously it varies by night and by season. We paid about $325USD/night taxes included.
Please hold your camera in landscape mode. It’s much easier for your viewers to watch. Holding in portrait mode is easier to hold your phone but you it distorts the video.
Did you do the private check in on the 23 floor? If so did you bring your suitcases up with you? Going in November and not quite sure how it works.
Yes, we checked in on the 23rd floor with our bags.
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123 Thank you so much for responding. I wasn't sure if we should bring them or leave them at the bell desk. Very excited and looking forward to the Prestige perks!
We want to book the palazzo prestige luxury king suite but can’t find an option to be able to do this can you help us thank you
We booked through our US based travel agent.
we’ve got this very room booked for a med cruise in a few weeks!
I am on the Riviera in November 2023 with this same room. Any comments about having the Bridge below or the outdoor spa above. Any feedback you can give me would be very much appreciated.
like it.what a tops hots,
So one of the mysteries of life is why many (most?) people insist on holding their phone in a vertical position when they take video? If this were the optimum orientation for video or movies, wouldn't we be positioning our TVs in a vertical position? It makes no sense especially if the videographer ever expects the viewer to view the videos on a monitor. Also think of your natural field of vision. Your field of vision is larger going right to left vs. up and down. It just seems logical and smarter to me to turn your phone in a sideways/horizontal position when you take your video.
I appreciate the video - it helped us to make a decision on booking this cabin. Thank you. If you don't like it in the vertical position, don't watch it.
@@scotthoff3316 you missed the whole point. I'm just trying to be helpful to people who post these types of things. The point is that you can make the video MORE helpful by including information in a more useful format. It's not a matter of liking it or not liking it. Not sure what you are so angry about.
How was the prestige club? My room is comped but I added it on. Thanks!
It was nice. We were in Nov so with Covid things were somewhat restricted. Nice place to get appetizers and drinks. And breakfast in the mornings. Great view of strip. Also used the club business center for some printing. Well worth it.
@@travelingwithkarinandrob4123 thank you for letting me know how you booked your holiday at the palazzo was your travel agent in the USA ,only we live in the UK

Very nice & elegant looking room...but was it clean? I noticed finger smudges on the light switch 1:17
It did seem clean. I believe that is paint.
Suite with access to Prestige Club at the Venetian and Palazzo Hotels. King bed, living area, L-shaped sofa, dining table for two, desk and panoramic view of the strip. Shower, tub, enclosed toilet, double sink and separate vanity. Closet with safe and robes, mini bar under TV in living area (automatic), wall controls for sheers and curtains.
Can you tell me how you booked the palazzo room with the prestige lounge please
@@gloriauren We booked through our travel agent.
Large room, features entry foyer with large bar area (mini fridge), nespresso maker, king size bed, large desk/counter area in bedroom. Sofa, coffee table and dining table for two. Patio with two chairs. Large walkin closet with safe, robes and slippers. Huge shower with two shower heads, separate tub. Two sinks and separate toilet area with bidet. Room comes with golf cart for 4 for traveling around resort.
Thank you for posting this! We are staying in this room in just a couple of weeks, and I have been searching for a walkthrough of what the room looks like. Way better than the pictures provided online. If you have any recommendations while we are there, I would love to get your input.
You are welcome! Use your butler! For reservations at restaurants, and beach chair set up. Night time entertainment was good when we were there. Your butler will give you a daily schedule through What's App which is how you communicate with them. Works very well. Have fun!
Nice room with entry way, closet/suite case area, single bath with shower, mini fridge with coffee maker, and small desk. Outlets and small tables on each side of the bed. Very good restaurant downstairs with bar for after dinner drinks.
Nice large suite with entryway, wet bar, guest restroom, dining table, living area, large balcony with views of the ocean, separate master bedroom and large master bath with two closets, shower, tub and double sink. The most amazing part of this suite is the butler service which even during COVID is amazing. The butlers can arrange chairs for you at the beach complete with towels and cooler of water, dining and spa reservations, golf tee times, and taxi arrangements as well as many other things. A real addition to a relaxing vacation.
Thanks for sharing. My husband and I are staying in this room type for our upcoming trip in June. It looks lovely... By chance do you recall the building you were in or the room number?
@@mstinibrooklyn6563 we were in room 4522.
That does not look oceanfront to me.
It’s ocean facing.
The rooms are "grottos" in the side of the mountain in Oia. Junior Suite has nice size bedroom room area with sofa and low table. Mini bar area with refrigerator. Bathroom has shower (no tub) and single sink. Patio has small table and chairs for breakfast service and two lounge chairs for relaxing. Views are spectacular.
Description of the room. This room is at the "corner" of the main building. It has two rooms. The main room has an entryway with a table. There is a dining table with seating for six, a sofa and coffee table, a desk with the Nespresso and minibar snacks. There is bathroom with shower as a second bath or for guests. A bonus closet and storage is on one side of the room. It has two sliding glass doors, one to an unusually large veranda with beautiful vistas of the sea. You can also have a view of the stage when there are shows. The second set of doors leads to a veranda overlooking the pool. The bedroom has a King size bed, closet with a safe, another desk a master bath with double sink, whirlpool tub and bidet. There are sliding doors to a third veranda with views of the pool. Oddly, they only had chairs on all the balconies and said they were unable to bring any loungers onto the veranda. The master bath tub is small for a suite this size and the lighting is surprising poor. The shower in the guest bathroom is designed such that water sprays out onto the floor unless you make almost impossible efforts to keep the water in. It is a very nice room especially if you like to sit outside on the verandas and admire the reviews, have two people that need to "work" or want more room to relax.
😊don't all a prey to the video 😅 The hotel is far too old for the money charged. The housekeeping folks cleaning the rooms use the same rag for cleaning toilet, the tables and the place where coffee cooker is kept😂 I was in April 2023. Our room was not
Not cleaned and hair was all over the place in bed, bathroom etc that we had to lodge a complaint within hours of our arrival 😮
Description of the suite. It is on the front of the ship with a huge balcony that goes from half of the front of the ship and wraps around the side. The front part of the veranda has a table for four and two padded loungers. There is a whirlpool tub on side veranda with another two chairs. It is a very large suite with entry way, desk, living area with TV, bar, two bathrooms (one for guests) both with showers. The master bath has a large Jacuzzi tub, double sink, and bidet. It has a very spacious closet with two areas to hang clothes. There is also an exercise room. It comes with butler service and a host of other wonderful amenities listed on the Oceania webpage. One should note that since the veranda is in the front of the ship, all chairs are lashed down when the ship is underway so if you like to sit outside during this time you can only stand. Also, the exercise room while a nice touch, is not great if you want weights or desire to do anything except the two machines it contains. There is, however, a nice well equipped fitness center available one deck away. All in all an absolutely amazing suite!
Important question: What kind of candies were in the dish on the coffee table?
Werthers, Riesen and Pikotes! LOL
