Very much agreed!!! I seem to debate in my mind whether Pale is an 80s or a 90s album given it was released on January 16 of the first year of the decade haha

Не знаю, бывают ли тут русскоязычные, но хочу сказать, что этот альбом глубоко тронул мою меланхоличную душу, равно как и "Дульсинея". Песни "When We Recovered" и "Always Changing Probably" просто до мурашек, передают ощущение холодного осеннего вечера. У тебя офигенный музыкальный вкус, если тебе тоже нравится эта группа. Жаль, что в России про неё знает полтора человека.
Рад видеть, что у этого альбома, а тем более у виниловых видеоклипов есть крошечная аудитория в стране, поэтому я рад, что вы услышали это таким образом!
Glen said they recorded it for $600 and it was basically live. It's a little rougher around the edges than their later stuff, but I love it. I love their later offerings, too, but this was recorded so early on that it gives you a taste of what they sounded like when they were still considered a "local band". Glen was 17 when this was recorded! I saw them live in like 94 and I hope to see them again sometime soon. Love Toad!

Oh I do too. I’ve got the newly-acquired OG rare Abe’s self-released version, a standard US Columbia version, and a UK CBS tape of the album which I got still factory sealed, the last of which was the first thing I ever added into my Toad collection

How is Toad somehow both famous and infamous where you can hear them in your local mall or on the radio but so much music flies under the radar....?
I have no clue. Maybe it's because that they have a few hits that are cherrypicked by the people, but that's just what adds to their charm I guess😀
