Aprilia sx50 rebuilding with Yamaha Yz125 2012 suspension. Starting point was pretty bad. First I had measure and try on all modifications. Front end is pretty easy case...but rear end is very different story. Chainline, brakes, suspension and so on...I try to put chain 520 and original yz rear sprocket...frontsprocket maybe from bashan 250 atv 520 or custom made 520... Coloring...: Frame black...

I have questions😅, Did you change the rear swingarm by your will or was the original one okay with the rims?
Original was in a good shape...i just wanted something different....like something what ive never done or seen...if speeking what was benefits of it....maybe nothing...but its looking great and you can fit any widh wheel or tire in it...and if bored...you can refit old one back its place

Little late reply but front is from Yamaha YZ 250F so i think its KYB...

hi, suspension is from Yamaha Yz125 2012. Rear is modified little bit and YZ linkages is replaced by basic shock

Hi, I bought new connector pin for headlight. Then I removed original connector pin from original wire harness and had to find right wires by voltmeter one by one. It was quite easy and still easy reconnectable headlightlight. Costs were about 4 euros
Hi I assume you used the YZ yolks as well? Did you have to press the stems out & swap them over for the SX one or did the yolks go straight on? Sorry for all the questions.
Whole front end from YZ125.It was easier to mount all from yz125 knowing all parts fits together. I don't have Aprilia anymore but I try to give you all information I remember.... Before winter I will start new project...Ktm, Aprilia, Monkey??
Hi amazing project the bike's a work of art. How much were the wheels & how difficult were they to fit & align to the front sprocket?
Wheels 480 euros, it wasnt hard. Only one issue was how to install sprocket to shaft. I didnt find exact sprocket for 520 pitch and it was necessary to feld derbi inner part to 250 bashan atv sprocket. It came just inaf out for straight chain aligning. Sorry about my poor english... Next time i will use translator🙄

Stock exhaust. Muffler is about 40mm shorter than original one.

@@damianmader893 My bike is 75% customized so there is lots of parts from different bike...in this case yamaha yz125 parts. These parts dont fit to your bike without modification. Answer to your question is no, guards dont fit.

Wich painting sprays do you use? I need to paint my plastics too but don't know what I need to buy and how I need to do...
Hi, you need three or four different paints for the painting. First plastic primer ( 1-2 layers ). After that base coat ( 2-3 layers ) and finally the color you have chosen. If metallic color you have to spray varnish/laquer over it 2-4 layers. I bought all from car painting company. And all sprayed with spray gun...not cheap spray cans...If you use spray cans, you should use 2 component paints. ( color coat or lacquer coat )

Thanks and Yes, im from Finland. Suomestahan minä. There is something to do... I dont like color of hubs... Im going to paint them candy Red. Exhaust its not perfect... Something Chrome like Voca or Radial racing would be better

I have had little break but now I've started rebuilding again. Few missing parts and unsolved problems...but its going to be ready very soon. Thx for supporting. Its for sale by the way ;)
Decal kit original bought from Germany. I bought it from dude Who didnt need those anymore. Original prize might be something between 80-120euros. Decal kit didnt fit perfectly, some sticker have little refitting by sharp knife🙄
