This was just the video I needed to help me however I have my two entire illustrated books in pdf already. I just barely began learning adobe acrobat pro and now realize I need to use illustrator . I have rescanned my first of two books in jpeg . How is the stretching of illustration done ? Is it editable in the new format page? I’m new to adobe illustrator.

This might not work any longer with Illustrator 28.1 and Acrobat 23.0. *.ai files are not supported for import. The files you intended to drag and drop show a danger icon with the following message: "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please remove these files or go to Settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option."

Is author's copy free? Do we pay anything for getting our own book?

Can you confirm this still works on the current version of Acrobat. For me it does not allow me to combine the .ai files.

do you change any of the save settings? I followed your video and tried uploading to KDP, but when I launch the previewer it says it won't accept my manuscript. Thanks so far for the helpful tips! I didn't know I could take my ai straight to acrobat

Wow omg this video just made my month!I'm making my second book now with lots of art and layers, and Preview kept crashing when I was trying to combine the PDF there even tho I have a new M1 14" MacBook Pro with 32 GB ram! So I Googled what to do and found this video and with this method the whole book making thing is such a breeze now! I save my Adobe Illustrator cloud file as a PDF on my computer (I checked the box optimize for fast web view and unchecked preserve Adobe editing to reduce file size) and then combine them using acrobat and it is so fast and easy and KDP accepted the file. I am so happy to have found this video. There wasn't any others I saw like it so without it I don't know what I would have done. Thanks so much 😍😍

Hi Rich! I've watched this video a few times. Great resource! I'm wondering did you change DPI/PPI settings while in Illustrator or did you apply them while in Acrobat Pro? I want to make sure I've got the DPI right before uploading to KDP. Much appreciated!

Hi! The book looks beautiful! I am a children's book illustrator and my client (author) wants to print only a few copies for personal use. Does kdp give you the option of just printing some copies but not putting them out for sale? Thanks!

Hi there , I have a query , what if I create designs for low/no content books from Canva which are licence free and once I publish, can anyone else copy my design and get their product trademarked or copyrighted ?Can you please advice for situation like this?

I was looking for a solution to create & combine multiple PDF print files from Canva since there is a data save limit of up to 300 images and this has limited the amount of pages I have in designing coloring books.

That was very helpful! I only have problem with saving the file properly. Should I pick "Print" or "Save As..." when saving as .PDF?

I want to ask a few things. Are we going to extend our images to bleed or just keep the illustration to the actual trim size? And 2nd thing is are we going to use the same bleed value for the whole book or is there going to be some changes considering the left side page or the right side page?
