Quite agree with you. Most of what I’ve tried from Mizensir have been nice but ultimately underwhelming and not worth the price. Alberto Morillas signature seems to be there but that’s a “designer” signature. He couldn’t seem to get away from that in his own collection.
Les Indemodables is definitely my most revisited discovery set. One thing that I’ve noticed is that some of scents seem to have an aldehydic feel to them especially Ambre Supreme. Maybe that’s the cola vibe you were getting. Not sure if they’re actually using aldehydes or just a side effect of the blend. Btw, I also got my Escale en Indonesie from LuckyScent and I can’t really blame them coz the box is really super, super flimsy and the foam inside is the only thing that seems to be holding the shape. 😅
Yes, I think you might be right about the aldehydic feel in some of them. I definitely get it in the iris one. I think I get it in Ambre supreme, too. Yeah, it's unfortunate when fragrances arrive with damaged boxes.
Oh wow, I've never had the chance to smell Coromandel. I believe that's one of the rarest ones due to Chanel switching to EDP format shortly after its release. In my opinion, the EDP's seem to all have a little bit of a vetiver, iris, vanilla base. The vetiver and vanilla are just slightly there to modernize them. It seems like the openings of the EDT's and EDP'a differ. However, the dry downs are similar.
I think it's unisex dye to the iris being classically feminine and vetiver leaning more masculine. However the iris and powdery nuances are the main focus, so I guess if I had to pick, I would say, leans feminine. If you want a more feminine version, No 19 Poudre is similar. It doesn't have the vetiver that La Pausa has.
Yeah, I agree. I can't say 31RC EDP is better but I also find that the EDP is slightly more wearable. I had a 200ml bottle of the EDT but I sold it cause I didn't wear very much compared to the EDP. After having most of the EDTs I don't think it's really worth paying extra money on them maybe except for Coromandel. I think EDPs are good enough.
I think I understand what you mean about the perfumer. I just samples some of their recent releases and, yeah, some of them come off too simple and boring. There’s something amateurish about the fragrances and they are charging that much money.
Pretty much with there you as far as this brand goes. With all of the hype over Falcon Leather and Encens Suave, it just ended up being pretty disappointing to me. The rose-saffron-oud-patchouli combo had been done many many times but as far as spicy medicinal roses go, Radical Rose is one of the better ones.
Yeah, Falcon Leather reminded me of Perfumes De Marly's Layton Exclusif when I briefly smelled it at a store. I was just underwhelmed by the brand. This rose one's not bad, I just would rather wear something like Rose De Jamal, POAL, or Rose Tonner.
Aqua Universalis Cologne Forte has more of a cologne vibe and smells more similar to cleaning products. Not in a bad way! The original Aqua Universalis EDT smells more similar to fresh laundry. I enjoy the EDT more. It's more comforting and clean.
I’m now more curious about Universalis EDT coz of what you said. 😅 I really like Universalis Cologne Forte but it seems to have become to strong and too sharp to my nose.
Very curious to see how Heaven Can Wait turns out. I'll definitely purchase a travel size to sample it first. While I don't think Uncut Gem was a terrible release, it feels like an attempt to release a scent that may appeal more to mainstream audiences. Also the marketing illustrated this as the most masculine release from the brand, which I don't agree with. That title can go to Monsieur or Promise (which I own both).
Yeah, I agree. Since they marketed Uncut Gem as a masculine I'm wondering if they will market Heaven Can Wait as a feminine fragrance. Hopefully they create something interesting.

Hello!
Hello! Ironically, I'm watching your last stream!
You ever considered making any more videos
I'm going to try and be more consistent!
thank you
Do you think this is more feminine or masculine?

Deja las drogas, es uno de los mejores perfumes de Parfums de Marly

It has earthy tones too. It reminds me of being outdoors, like after a fresh rain
Oh wow, I'll eventually buy a sample and try it out some more. I enjoy the after the rain smell.

Yes, I think the edt is more clean laundry. The cologne forte is more cologne like for sure. Also, the cologne one gives me a more cleaner vibe.
Thanks for that info! 👍
