Its just a preference really. If you like shooting like a gangsta sideways, and missing every shot, no one should ridicule you. If you like shooting your own way, and it suits you than go for it. As long as you're doing it safely no one should care.

It doesn’t make sense to define this as a problem with snap caps, this is a problem with manufacturing choices. Just buy the ones that are obvious and the market for fake “real” bullets goes away

you tend to twist your elbow to absorb the recoil, thats more of a revolver technique.. still, that was some fancy shooting. you're pretty good

I wouldn't even call it weird tbh, this is pretty standart in Russia and countries surrounding it (i am in one of them). I'd even call it more popular than something like an M9 Beretta or M1911 in this region.
