VODA is a registered charity providing advice, training, information and support to volunteers, voluntary and community groups working in North Tyneside. VODA works locally, regionally and nationally to promote the value and needs of the voluntary and community sector in North Tyneside. We help to encourage and develop networks and partnerships between the voluntary and community sector and others.
Stroke North needs a new Treasurer!
We recently met with the lovely David Burgess, Trustee and Secretary and local support group Stroke North. Their current Treasurer is now 93 and keen to retire, so they are looking for someone new to take his place.
Stroke North is a friendly, welcoming group for anyone who has survived a stroke and their carers. They meet twice a month at the Howdon Community Hub.
Do you have an accounting or finance background? Could you keep their books in order and help them to raise funds for their subsidised taxi service?
