This was recorded to document the current state of planet tech. This was also recorded as a message to CIG. You might have seen the thumbnail, that was how it looked in the past. Please, CIG, give us back the beautiful and realistic dense forests. PC's should be able to run it again and lower end can just avoid the (hopefully small) biome. The thumbnail is what it looked like in the past. It has gotten worse. Let's hope CIG fixes it.

@@jasonfrost5025 I know, my communications were a bit confusing. Apologies! I did also mean that nowadays it looks worse than before. Or are you saying that in 3.19 it is uglier than 3.17?
Nice video. How do you record without the icons and text on the screen. When i am outside my ship i always see a little circle showing the ship location with some numbers beside it showing the distance. I also see health indicators in the lower left. How did you manage to turn all them off??
I used external cam (F4) and its controls (scrolling for moving, arrow keys for moving, page up and page down for vertical movement, z for looking around and numpad + and - for zooming). I placed it in front of the face of my character.
Beautifully recorded, especially like the way how you kept view panning very smooth like in a film - it can be a real eye-strainer for the viewer when panning is jerked all over the place. It would be great to hunt in these forests as a way of earning extra lolly - hunting exotic (and dangerous) species. The ship views (especially the flying one) were excellent! BTW, noticed how you left the hatch open at the first ship approach scene - not a good idea: a local alien critter might just slip aboard unnoticed! That would be a neat addition to the game (heavy message to the creators), having these little details to add an extra spice of realism.

how did you get there? is it close to an outpost or did you just fly down from space?
Option 1: Quantum travel to HDMS Operai or HDSF Ishmael. Warning, the latter will shoot you. Option 2: Go to OM-1 above Hurston, search for a bright green area on the planet and fly there. Then just look around for trees. Option 3 (best option): You could also join one of my tours. I run tours with lore, sightseeing, dedicated crew (pilot, bartender), food and drinks and activities.
