Can you elaborate more on your inquiry? Are you asking if scanners are used in the system? You can receive items with the issued tablet. Barcodes are still on the MRO and turn-in documents in the system. The scanner concept is not the same as PBUSE which were used during inventories.

We do not know if the Army Regulations have been updated to reflect GCSS Army business rules. You might have to check with your S4.

The by the book response is that you are supposed to order shortages for each end item, however I have seen people consolidate their missing like items on one listing to save time. The system will allow for that to happen. Just be sure that you can manage the items if you chose to consolidate and let your CDR know as well.

In GCSS Army, there are many ways to get the same outcome in various transaction codes. The end user always has the freedom to do what works best for them. The system is not a one way only function. You also have to keep in mind that we cater to personnel that have the 92Y MOS; most personnel that have that job description will not have access to Maintenance transaction codes unless they have dual roles in the system granted by their Access Administrator (PBO). Yes. Once it is exported to Excel (and saved as a PDF) or a PDF, you can use the PDF Tools to create fillable blocks.

I'm not certain if I completely understand your question. I think you are asking if you have more than one like item how do you separate them. If so, you can only give it one location in the system. You can physically have them separate outside the system. If they have different material numbers (NIINS), then you can have 2 separate locations. If they have the same material number, then you have to choose one location or try to abbreviate it to show both cabinets.

Yes, you can print out a list of the COEI, BII, etc. Please check out our tutorials on ciscocoppagellc.com that explains that process in full detail. You can use ZPRNTCOMPHR or DISP_MAT_SIT to see and print listings.

Some sites can't be accessed on government computers. You should be able to check out the site on a personal computer or phone. There are a lot of great videos available there that are not on our UA-cam channel.

GCSS-Army uses generic nomenclatures and does not contain notes that exist in the TM and SC's. I recommend using both as inventory worksheets during your inventories, because those notes can be critical to knowing if you should have the item or not.

Shortages are not ordered based from the serial number. The equipment record is needed to order shortages using IW31. If you do not have an equipment record then shortages cannot be ordered in the system; they will have to be obtained directly from the vendor or manufacturer.

Shortages will have to be inputted into the system using IW31 unless they migrated from PBUSE. If they migrated from PBUSE then you will need to release them. It sounds like the shortages were done manually on a DA 2062; if so, take those shortage annexes and input them into the system. We have full Component Management videos on our website at ciscocoppagellc.com.

You can only print when the item is in the release (REL) status. You might be trying to click on an item that is in the created (CRTD) or closed (CLSD) status.
