This song was not for his ex-wife, who left him for another man. Whom that man she took from his wife, whom was pregnant, & still 💘 her husband. I remembered reading all of this back when I was 17. So to me she's not a good woman at all. She broke Elvis heart , not cause she left him. But cause she took the 💘 of his life, which was his daughter Lisa. And this beautiful song that Elvis sings came out around I believe, 1974, 75. He was with Linda Thompson, at the time.
